Still have our Felicia with that engine, I always shift before 2000rpm when accelerating as that engine just has so much torque down low. Well it also gets loud above that as there is basically no sound dampening

Had a ride in a fairly new one a couple of months back, still too much road noise and on roads that were familiar to me I thought it was actually noisier than my 10yr old Rio on some surfaces. I think it is and always has been a car that you have to be careful with the wheel size an tyre choice you make if you want a quiet comfortable ride, big tyres small wheels the smaller the better. Sorry nearly forgot, nice drive Joe love the diversity of the cars you obtain, just remember don't drive like you stole them or people will start to wonder, only joking well done.

@@musicsharing5645 But I did NOT write 1.4 16V. Just as this 1.6 engine in the Skoda is with 8V. The 8V 1.4 in Polo/Golf/Ibiza/Cordoba has 60hp.

@@andersnielsen6044 Oh, makes sense now, I actually did not know there is a 1.4 60hp engine. Here where I live all the 1.4 engines are the 1.4 16v 75hp (or I have not seen one yet). Cheers for the answer

@@yolohip8395 might be strong but it's too weak for this car. 1.9 TDI is more powerful , also very reliable and more economical than 1.6 petrol

@@theskiller1753 But the tdi or sdi is illegal to drive in public roads and cost €3.000 per year in road taxes alone.. This 1.6 75 engine only cost €400 per year, and can go anywhere..
