"Critical thinking is willing to learn, to change and to admit to being wrong", tingin ko eto yung pinakamahirap na part: ang aminin na hindi lahat ng alam mo ay tama, na nagkakamali ka rin, at hindi lahat ng naexperience mo ay magaapply sa lahat. SALAMAT PASTOR JOE.

While we are told that we should embrace every Criticism, and embrace Critical Thinking, but be careful with the Criticism that you listen to. If that Criticism questions the very Belief that we are fundamental at, don't be afraid to Scrape it off and Reject it. Now, let's be Fair: If that Criticism leads to another extreme side, or it leads to Theological Mysticism like Angels Feathers, Good Dust, Word of Faith, Prosperity Gospel etc. SCRAP IT OFF. REJECT IT. STOP IT. POINT IS: If that Criticism leads to a Theological Bias, STOP IT. REJECT IT. SCRAP IT OFF!

I have seen that especially sa mga Reformed Fundamentalists (HyperCalvinists) na nagbasa lang ng Reformed eh Yumayabang na. To be fair also Kahit sa Charismatic Full Gospel, walang pinagkaiba eh. Nakakadismaya ito at kailangan mapigilan iyan.

Thank you Pastor Joe for reminding us that it's okay to question, that it's not wrong to search for the truth. God is beyond reason but never against it.🙏🤍

Reminding myself. This is not all about me. It's about God. Mararamdaman mo naman if ur thinking cynical based on how you see things. Let's practice being humble and just learn that God knows what we're thinking. He's higher than our thoughts, actually. 🎯♥️ Thank you for your wisdom Ptr. Joe. I learned a lot tonight. More viewers and subscribers to you. Blessings! 😇

Praising God for you Pastor Joe! God is giving you the wisdom and guidance to explain this to a lot of people which led us to determine and examine ourselves. To open our hearts to the One Who is Greater than ourselves/me. 🤍

Critical thinking seeks to understand. Cynical thinking seeks confirmation of its cynicism. One sets you free while the other keeps a person imprisoned. That's quite a load. Thanks Pastor Joe. =)

This is now a clear view why I've been feeling so incomplete for so long. I've been cynical for years bec of the experiences I had. I kept blaming others but now I realized, In my own doing, It is me who pains me. Thank you for this! Such an eye opener.

Loved when you emphasized that...The fact that you are disappointed is that "You believed there was something good and that good was'nt given to you.."

I feel like I am back on the classroom taking up my philosophy and/or English classes talking about critical criticism, and I love the nostalgic feel of it. Maybe it was the youth in me, but I thought back then that these classes were useless because it was obvious how we should not just accept all kinds of thinking. But in this information overload world, where there are so many voices speaking, it is all the more important to be critical in what we entertain in our minds, whether through the media we consume, the people we listen to, or the questions we ask ourselves.

Thank you po. I always feel guilty when I have so many questions and sometimes the only answer I get is walk by faith and not by sight. I needed the assurance from a pastor that it’s okay to ask questions, it’s okay to be disappointed and it doesn’t stop there.

Wow honestly. Thank you for this. Before coming to this video I wondered if I was too critical is me thinking this way questioning my faith in God? In one of my papers for university ...when it comes to the history of christianity it is protrayed negatively. I kept wondering why was christianity painted like this, why it was used a tool to colonise people ( which brought negative and positive impacts to indigenous people) and brought hurt to those who were colonised? (Why did God allow the word to be spread this way?) And bring hurt to current generations? Was trying to evangelize and bring missionaries to a foreign land a way to homogenzie societies to assimilate to christian values, standards or deprive indigenous people right to excerise their beliefs? But after watching this I realized a few things. 1:) What men did in history or continues to do does not reflect who God is, He is true, He is good He is faithful and is worthy of worship. He is the One we should seek. 2) people have the free will to choose to accept Him in their lives or not 3) asking questions is okay, as long as you want to be led to the cross daily and encounter Jesus DAILY. Because ultimately we want more of Him, we thirst, we hunger for Him and we want others to know Him too I want to know God deeper, of His ways, of why He lets things be, and yes we cannot fully comprehend it. :)))

I now realized I am just a critical thinker and not a critical spirit. I was somehow disturbed about the way I think if it's still right or not. I am enlightened now. Thank you Lord Jesus! and thank you also Pastor Joe for this very timely content. 🙂

I also experience that, someone in church saying scriptures to me out of context. I remember i said I'm still a bit sleepy but the person responded and quoting a bible verse "there is a time for everything" and making me feel I have done something wrong in front of other church members.

Thank you Pastor Joe for this vlog. Made me realize that i have cynical tendencies. Getting in heated conversations with my (pre-believing) dad and sometimes engaging not so that i can share the Truth but rather to disprove his lies. I will persevere to open my ears to my dad and his reasoning, in the hopes of someday he will finally open his heart to the Lord and the salvation the awaits him. P.S. will now be looking for books by CS Lewis. Any suggestions on where to start?

There was this person who questioned my story that caused my injury. She gave another reason that might have caused it. And I was hurt and told her she was doubting me. Was I being cynical? Because they only became mad at me. I was the one who was injured but made me on the wrong side which makes me think why.
