I'm with Joe wtf we're they talking about??? The intention of transparency is noble but you have no control over how it lands or how it's received. You're thinking you broke a generational curse and all you did was trade it for another. Definitely better ways to impart that information than digging up bodies especially if it's already been addressed and people have moved forward. People love being the victim, my God let it go

Well, most of my life, my mother constantly reminded us how our father beat her, even 18 years after his death. I honestly feel like she wanted us to be afraid of him or even hate him. When I decided to build a relationship with him, hearing that all of my life conflicted because I didn't even see him get angry with his, then live in girlfriend until we came to head about it. It ended badly and once again, my sister took me to my mom's house. I hear it again and her telling me that I didnt need to go back, not realizing that it was all because of her and what I'd been hearing all of my life. He called that night and came to pick me up. We got home, sat at the table, and talked. We had a great relationship when he passed, and that was in 2005. I don't have a relationship with my mother now. The difference is using your pain as a weapon vs using it to teach the lesson of what not to accept and healing. It worked on my little sister and she was afraid of him.

(Assuming he didn't...) Perhaps he should've taken accountability and sat down with your mom (not you) and apologized for the physical abuse, and the obvious emotional abuse she suffered for years after. The violent man that she knew from experience he had the capability to be, probably scared her everytime you and your sister went over there. 🤷🏽‍♂️
@motrainer888
@motrainer888 11 ай бұрын
@BaldwinFanonGarveyTureShakurX Naw, that wasn't it, especially after talking to other family members that were around at that time. She was no victim. I realized that mother is narcissistic because she's lied on me all of my life as well. If she can't control you, she'll lie and turn everyone against you and play the victim.

@@motrainer888 this is no sleight to your situation and experience but when a woman is scorned for what ever reason its a powerful and dangerous thing. When she was building her own relationship with him once he got out she noticed he was a different person on the phone than when he came out. My daughter was 21 when he came out. I'm with Joe and Ish on the kid topic... I don't think it's beneficial to kids telling them EVERYTHING. Imagine being real with them about having no idea how you're going to pay the rent next month??? What does telling them do for THEM??? Just imagine how secretly stressed that child will be going fwd.. or telling them you dropped out of school in the 8th grade, but trying to be an authoritarian when they decide to drop out in the 10. I can hear them now. "Who are you to tell me to stay in school, you didn't make it past the 8th grade"... I've seen it happen. Some things isn't their business (or worry).

Nothing that Joe said compels me to take Jada's side. One of Jada's issues is that she's not that big or interesting of a celebrity by herself. Almost all of her headlines involves her interactions/relationship with a man that is the actual star. Jada had no choice but to bring up Will in the book because it wouldn't sell otherwise. She has decided that her need to be in the spotlight is far more important than her husband's reputation and public image. And it's a lot easier than doing her real job which should be acting.

That letter was LOADED! There's so many things to unpack in this discussion. I'll start by saying, (1) Who that man is to you as a BF/Husband is NOT the same as how he shows up as a Father. (In this scenario) Therefore, I see no reason to be "transparent" about anything; UNLESS..this child has been impacted behind his actions. Unless you want that child to hold a grudge against the father because you do, why would you say anything? You can use teachable moments without disclosing negative things about the father in particular. Lastly, breaking the generational curse happens when you remove your child from the toxic situation. If that child didn't witness the abuse, he's a great father and you seek therapy to heal from YOUR experiences; you've done your job!

Does history matter to you ? Is history important should we forget the actions of the past which carry us into the present? At the end of the day if you have universal love for yourself and your child you always tell them the truth period, mf like to present themselves as a changed person but never explain who and how they use to be that's a lie no amount of justifications or excuse will change that, own up to your shit and be honest not saying it's easy but it's the correct order otherwise you just have your kids in a bubble that will pop, what it sounds like is those people don't want to own up to there bs because they will be and should be judged for those actions but if you truly change the truth will only show that growth or the lack of it

@@user-ik5ze1sh7i What I'm saying is; if that child isn't or hasn't seen a bad side of its father, what is the purpose of bad mouthing the father? Even if it's true, it's not the child's reality it's the mother's history. The generational curse continues as the mother continues to give it life. Do you think your parent(s) told you EVERYTHING they did in their life? C'mon....

@@jenjen3254No, they're not wrong. As long as the dude is a good father to his daughter and is determined to be a better man towards his ex-baby mother, why does the mother bring that up to her young little daughter? In this debate Joe, ISH and Flip were bringing absolute facts to the convo.

If Mothers tell their daughters about the abortions they had, which is admitting to being a killer and the children realizing their siblings are dead; and if they tell their daughters about selling their kitty to get rich or die trying, or if it's it's a story about being poor trying to survive; which is admitting to being an escort prostitute - so the daughter can learn about those generational curses and to avoid them, then I'll agree the Father's Past can be a lesson children can learn from to try avoid past Sins as well. But even then you can tell a story like a Parable or a lesson just to make sure children Know about Life and the different types of human natures and weaknesses; it doesn't have to be every detail to make either parent look horrible, just a human who need Christ like everyone

Marco didn't just come right out and cry about it. He acknowledged his supporters' concerns while still being professional by not outright throwing Herb and Southside under the bus. Joe is acting as though Marco is crying for help.

Joe i disagree with you on the Funny Marco thing. Raekwon came in on your broadcast with violence and many including yourself didn't find it as cool. when Consequence brought violence against you to a television set, we all thought it was uncalled for and commended you on professionality. The funny Marco thing was fun in the beginning but, the guests took it a little too far with the insults about his skin condition and throwing things at him. i think Marco put the clip out to recoup if he paid for the interview and also to highlight their behaviours. I agree with Ish. The clip was probably put out to highlight behaviours
