"She could have done anything she wanted to, but she didn't because she wanted to be at home with the kids" So she DID do "anything she wanted to". It's just that what she wanted to do isn't what she thought it was, or that feminists tell women they must want to do. How about "being a mum / housewife is a full-time equivalent job and has value so I'm not going to sneer at those that do this"

When he says things like he doesn't understand why so many people voted for Brexit because he doesn't see anything positive about leaving the EU he shows his ignorance. I'm not saying that in a nasty way. I'm saying that if JOB got a job in a factory where the employer wanted to cut his pay and pressure him into working more hours because a steady stream of Eastern Europeans are willing to work for less money I'm sure he would have an epiphany.

I like James. But your comment about white males having it all does show up your middle class upbringing. While all aspects of British life are dominated by white men that doesn't stop working class white boys falling desperately behind just about every group you could think of. The life of a white male chief executive is so far removed from that of a working class white boy who's parents have probably lived hand to mouth for every single day of that child's life. Their life options are so dramatically limited by this. This is why we need to stop dividing people down gender & racial boundaries & start looking at problems where problems actually exist. This can only happen by seeing everyone & every case on individual merits. A privately educated middle class white girl is not less privileged than a working class white boy. Her gender has not disadvantaged her. The reality is that most people get advantage from the social standing of their parents & not their gender. You James, a privately educated white male understand this yet you continue to sell this myth that one gender is disadvantaged compared to another. Being poor in Britain is the biggest disadvantage any child growing up can have. & being poor is not exclusive to people not lucky enough to be born white & male.

This interview is way too sycophantic. Good interviews are challenging, no back slapping.

I like O'Brian but hes dead wrong on mens rights issues. There is one area that men are at a distinct disadvantage at...divorce/child custody rights. The courts are still on this antiquated belief that men should bare all the financial responsibility in case of a divorce -even if the wife works and makes a salary equal or greater to his own. Doesn't matter if you are supporting the family alone doing 60 hour weeks while the wife doesn't work and they have no kids, she will usually get half of everything in most cases. Does that sound like men being treated equal? Even worse...child custody. Ask ANY man in a divorce proceedings how bias it is toward men it terms of child custody. I'll state my own example... It's *not* my ex-wife or her family whose contesting me getting full custody (its an amicable split, and she acknowledges that due to her mental illness plus her physical handicap following a failed suicide attempt she is incapable or caring for our daughter) its the COURT that is throwing up roadblocks. The court is essentially telling me "sorry your a man, you are not qualified to care for your little girl" even though I have already been doing it alone for almost 2 years. And My situation is unique. Most divorces are between couples whom are feuding and that scenario is where the husband might as well accept hes going to be screwed. I have YET to meet the father satisfied with the child sharing arrangements unless he wants to see his kids less than 50% of the time (which happens with more career oriented people). And God help the husband if the wife is a real twat and starts playing games to keep the husband from seeing his children, it is incredibly difficult to get the court to take action on the husbands behalf, but miss a child payment (for whatever reason) and the court will send in the SAS to make sure you are punished for it. So Don't tell me there is no such thing as mens rights...

One last thing. The interview suggestions it is acceptable for a women to withhold sex. I assume that woman has never been married because legally if a partner regularly withholds sex its considered grounds for divorce the legal term is "constructive abandonment". This is true in religious law and in common law as both consider the purpose behind marriage is to have babies. No sex = no babies = no family. So men (and women) do have a right to sex when its inside a marriage. They do not have a right to sex on demand, but the idea a spouse can without sex entirely is wrong both legally and morally.

It was a hatchet job interview on Farage. He didn’t expect it & still handled it well even though it wasn’t his best performance... after it had finished I was left with the thought that James O’Brien is one unpleasant arrogant wanker which is a view I still hold.
