To explain the story in the song, he actually went to the airport to fetch his girlfriend, who had presumably gone on a ‘break’ away from the relationship for a year. the 10.30 was the landing time of her (presumably) agreed flight back. the song describes him waiting for her from before 10.30 to 10.30 and finally after that realising that she wasn’t on the flight, and that she wasn’t coming back (figuratively and literally) to him.

Used to listen to David Tao in my younger days... know his songs by heart. Until Jay Chou came along in 2000... I have been stuck with Jay till now! I still think Jay Chou is the best Chinese musician around. David Tao was educated in the US, so he is very R&B. Jay's music is a fusion of East and West and he is very good at introducing different instruments in his compositions... as you may have encountered. ❤

(Because this version is modified depand on the original version, so I suggest you can listen the original version first and then this one, and then you know the emotional of the impromptu part ) 英文不知道表達夠不夠清楚 XD 意思是，現場版本許多即興修改是基於原版本的情緒去改的，是原版本可能聽了唱了幾百遍後，即興的變調版本，因此如果先孰悉原版本那種無奈的感覺，應該會更能進入情緒，也不會對歌詞感覺那麼"俗套"吧~。
