Hey Joe. Thank you for making this video, gives a lot of people like me who don't have much musical knowledge a better understanding of this song. This song is also one of my favorites, I love the calmness with a deep emotion in the expression. Similar to [普通朋友] I think there are [彩虹](Rainbow) and [超人不会飞](Superman Can't Fly) by Jay Chou. These songs don't bring sadness, but rather gentle soothing that make me think of those moments of warmth in a relationship. By the way, Tao also has some other songs in the same style, such as [好好说再见](Time to Say Goodbye) and [寂寞的季节](Season Of Lonelinesss), I also like these songs, but none of these can be compared to [普通朋友]. [普通朋友] is the best of Tao. I'm not good at English, so I hope these words are not confusing you.😀

It's great that you chose his live version Joe. I went to his concert in Shanghai many years ago. I thought his albums were perfection. Wrong! He just made it even better in his concert with subtle tweaks and creative additions here and there which flew so naturally and beautifully out of him. Absolutely loved every minute of it and worth every penny of the poor fresh graduate that I was. David Tao is a musician with a real flair! A slightly biased recommendation: Marry Me Today (今天你要嫁给我). David is one of the main players in the Chinese R&B field recent few decades, many Chinese people don`t know what is R&B before and like many guys here in China, his songs are with us during our high school and college time.
