Normally it would be bad to take out the breeding bulls but as theese are more than plentiful and an imported specie i guess killing them is a good thing in general, i'd say both shots where more or less questionable but it died so all good i guess. Great vid as to be expected from you.

@tony - the rifle is the Bergara Elevate, which is sold in .308W, 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5 PRC. The cartridges shown when he unloads the rifle points to one of the two 6.5 calibers 😊👍🏻

If you didn't have your bolt up you would have made that shot. Having to drop your bolt and turn your safety off is just too many actions in situations like that.

Can't tell you how many time's I've watched this hunt. It has all the trappings of a good hunt, from equipment used, how to approach the dangerous terrain on the mountain, how to be patient for a good shot and then the shot and follow up to finish the animal. Great bull. Oh how I wish I was young again .

at 23:40 it appeared you shouldered your rifle with the bolt half closed. I say, if you don't trust the safety on your rifle, get another rifle. If my Steyr Scout (in .308) has a round in the chamber, the bolt is closed and the safety engaged, until I'm ready to shoot.
