Thank you for sharing, gives me hope for my daughter, been 21 years of going thru it. She did finally leave the guy who broke her down bad, had me take her 2 small girls while she worked on putting her life back together. She's been in different rehabs, relationships, the streets, jail, rehab. She came to visit & leave her small son while she went to a rehab far away. He only has a few years left of school while the oldest is making her life & the youngest girl is finishing her 1st year of medical school. It's hardest when too much time has gone by with no way to reach her, not knowing. My daughter just got into another rehab this past week, & I pray it's her time to break free. I know she has to choose to do it & continue to choose & fight every day. To tell her what she should do would just put her in another type of controlling situation. So I just love her, encourage her, care about her

We hadn't been together for yrs when it happened. I blamed myself because u felt like if I hadn't left he'd still be here. I just couldn't take the abuse anymore. He died a week after our daughter's heart procedure.

Hey Joe E, the guy playing the "Addict" is my fiancés good friend Mic DeVine. They all grew up together rapping in Worcester, MA with Joyner. Mic wrote a similar song, and filmed a vid, 4 years ago, touching upon similar issues. (which is why he was so amazing for this character in the video.) Mic is a incredibly talented lyricist, rapper, AND an actor! I would be forever grateful if you could give it a listen, & maybe even react to it. If this type of song got you choked up, then Mic DeVines 'Way Down We Go' will, too. (It's dedicated to one of our friends, Dave Fournier, who lost battle with his addiction.) Some people are having trouble finding it, & I'm not able post anything, link-wise. So, feel free to reply & I'll try to get you there. Much love from Worcester, MA. 🫶🏻❤️

Took me a minute after watching that to comment, wasn't expecting it to be so deep, hard hitting and real. I too have lost friends, so this spoke to me and as tough as it was to watch, it's needed with the current fentanyl epidemic. Jelly Roll spoke to congress on this crisis back in January this year and delivered a very powerful, impassioned and articulated speech, if you haven't already, it's well worth a watch! An older song of Jelly Roll's I recommend before he went country is "Nothing Left at All". Much love and respect Joe E, and thank you for your honesty.

Some of his best videos to react to are: I'm Not Racist (his breakout hit), I'm Sorry, Ross Capicchioni (based on a true story), Keep it 100, Isis (with Logic after they settled a beef), Devil's Work, Winter Blues.
