I totally agree, but there is something about the melody of this one, the emotional connection, the message.. that just hit me. I think of my favorites this is top 3 favorite. After coming across ren a started downloading all his work straight away, and even tho I had his album both his demo series and like 20 songs in a file "at time" named ren so everytime a new songs come out had just add it to the ren file, "think thes about 38 songs init nar" all dope, but after having mi 1st listen to everything, all a wanted to listin to was his demo vol 2, only 8 songs, but 8 classics, a must've listened to it for weeks on repeat everyday, and in ren file thes everything from hi ren, jenny n scretch "of course" to blind eyes with Sam and what went wrong 1&2, all mi favourites he did with the big push, I shot the sheriff/hip hop mix the did thats amazing, facking amazing, bongo bong another amazing cover the did, children of the moon, all one's on KZbin how to be me, all of them man, a love that have got this ren file with all songs on a can find, most of them got videos aswel cos the from KZbin, a can just let it play all 38 songs and not after skip 1 song 😁

But the passion you are NOT trying to hide is what really gives you the right to skip the line to the top. Keep showing what you feel and do it your way. (he says just before giving a suggestion about the way you could also approach it...) For sure shoot the first reaction live. The authenticity makes it top notch!!! She's a friend of Ren's they have performed together and done many shows together. However they aren't together in a relationship. Would you possibly consider doing a spotlight 3 song episode on Ren? I have 3 incredible songs that I know will give you life in different ways . First is Rens band The Big Push , the song is called Blind Eyed , the next is just Ren and it's called Patience and the last is a well known fun song called Power by Ren ♡♡♡♡ absolutely love your content .

Fun Chinchilla suggestion: her latest song is “Little Girl Gone” which is a very entertaining song & video. There are plenty of others, but since it’s her first independent release, I try to recommend it. 💜

They consider themselves musical siblings & plan to do more in the future. Also, they have another original song/video Ren x Chinchilla “How To Be Me” (live) that’s in a similar vein that I know you’ll like. It was filmed on a bridge, to give a nod to his friend Joe who passed away. It’s not “the” bridge like some say in the comments, just a bridge. There are a couple busking videos with them the very first time Chinchilla ever busked. Ren dragged her out to do it. She’s opened for Sting on a huge stage no problem, but she was terrified to busk! She said now she can’t wait to do it again. 😊 They do an incredible duet of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” (you’ll never again hear it as a solo again) along with one or two more including a Drake/Beyoncé mix. Chinchilla “Fingers” (live for Hunger TV) is a good one because it’s a good song and done artistically.

The Menai Bridge is located in Wales and it does not look at all like the location in the video. I'm quite sure that it is not even shot at a bridge, but rather on a rooftop or balcony or something like that. The performance is magnificent though - it does not need that extra myth for that - and it is dedicated to Ren's friend Joe Hughes who did jump from the Menai Bridge in Wales in December 2010.

Chinchilla is another artist. Ren reached out to her after seeing her live in concert. She had never Busked before meeting and hanging out with Ren. She has her own songs and videos out as well. Her latest "Little Girl Gone" hit #1 on the Apple Music Chart in April despite that she dropped her label and went independent because they told her it would not do well.

I am super late to this. So, I'm guessing that most of your questions have been answered. There is SO much about this that is wonderful. The set up, his lyrics, the subtle guitar work and then there is their voices. But, what always stands out for me. Is the connection that they share. They are completely LOCKED on to each other. Sharing their hearts and souls by being in that very moment. I don't think either one of them looked directly at the camera once. Never before has something touched me so much without eye contact. This was another one-take, Live Recording. The reverb in that hallway is both killer and completely natural (much as the hall and stairwell from Violet's Tale). Right before he picks up the chair, Ren is setting the amp and putting on his mic. Totally agree that you should consider the Live version of Fingers by Chinchilla, as well as Little Girl Lost. She's a friend of Ren's. They also did How To Be Me live together. You totally need to interview Sam!

Loved your reaction to this. It is truly amazing isn't it? It's crazy the circle of talented people that Ren has surrounding him. You would probably really like The Big Push guitarist Romain Axisa's work as well. He has a new song 'Turn the Lights Down' that has a great video inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula - and the guitar solo at the end is scorching hot. There's also 'Goodbye Good Days' that showcases his amazing voice and also has a phenomenal guitar solo - the videography on that one is really cool as well. I'd sub, but I already did :)

The line towards the end is actually "I'm scared of being ok cos all things change" and it's one of the most relatable lines for me in the song along with the gallows one. Sometimes when you struggle with things like depression it almost becomes comfortable and you don't want to live in the moment because things change and it can feel worse once you've allowed yourself to feel some positivity.

Awesome reaction as always. I believe from what I have heard from other reactors is that chinchilla is a friend of Ren's with an outstanding voice. When she hit the highest range of singing "oh my my" the tears started flowing out of joy and knowing this is what excellence and capturing vocal talent is as well as the mood of the song. The live version is also stunning when they are singing it on the same bridge that his friend jumped from. Joe Hughs lives through Ren over and over piece by peace. Oh Joe you know you make me smile. There is a clip of Ren and Chinchilla doing a cover of Marvin Gay's Sexual Healing. This is a busking Session. Chinchilla has played for some large crowds, but never before in the street . She trusted Ren , because she knew he is a Pro at it , and because she and he have both said that they have the same musical DNA .

Ren talks about this during the BP interview. He met her through the label and did a couple songs. He said that she is the female version of him and they connect on teh same wavelength.

The chemistry between Ren and Chinchilla is amazing. You don't usually see this amount of chemistry for collaborations/duets outside of actual band mates that have been working together for years. They have one more duet together that you need to checkout called "How to be Me" and they have the same energy and chemistry in it as they do with this one

Ren and Chinchilla were both on the same record label management team. They then left and became independent artist. So they are big and not just starting out.

I love this song. I especially love when they do the a capella part. Their musicality is just so yin yang. Basically this is about depression, psych issues and psych meds. Sertraline and serotonin (first lines Chinchilla speaks) are psych meds. Sertraline is given for depression, PTSD, OCD and severe anxiety. Serotonin something we have naturally in our brain it helps control depression and they give it to you for severe, persistent depression. (I'm a retired nurse) So walking around in chalk outlines is pretty much like being dead inside. Chalk outlines are usually used to Trace dead bodies in crime scenes. They do have other videos together and they also did some busking videos together. Chinchilla also has her own music which has blown up since this video. I love your reactions. Great reaction. "I'm scared of being okay 'cause all things change" resonates with me. It sucks being depressed, but after awhile you rely on stability so the idea of change - even if it's a good change - produces a lot of anxiety. Love Ren's collaborations; I'm really loving him with Eden Nash (see "Ocean" and "Humble").

I'm so thrilled to see you react to this one. Live. One take. Just them. I love how every sound is so pronounced. Since it was live, i don't believe there was any post foley. Ren is so talented atconveying emotion. I can't help but feel his sadness, his dim hopefulbess, his facetiousness, his resignation. Chinchilla is the perfect completion to this duet. They also did How to Be Me together. (Nothing wrong with "b&$ch" reaction. Mine the first time was "f&$k off." LOL!) "I'm scared of being okay cuz all things change." I got a hint of Adele at the end there. Chinchilla indeed has her own catalog. The more i listened to this, the more I relate. Talking about not being okay. Having a pill to fix it, but that just numbs us (walk around in floating chalk lines, then erase ourselves in these chalk outlines.) to the point we are not ourselves anymore. Kill the pain or kill our personalities?
