vergas B It is a heavy metal and is produced by coal burning and iron mining.Goes up and then comes down and it gets on the land and in the water. It eventually is absorbed by the fish.

Nice technique, I've seen people do well free lining in heavy current here in Kansas also. Drum are my nemesis, I catch more Drum than cats some days, always a good fight though with those.

This is definitely a effective way to catfish. I tried this many years ago and I was shocked at how well it works. Never seen anyone else try it until today.

I didn't know if you would read my comment that's cool you seen it. I was going to mention that I mostly free line with live bait. Mostly larger baits such as bullhead large bluegill and larger suckers 6 to 12 inch. I use this method for large flathead especially during spawn. If you get it anywhere near a flathead it will be ate immediately. If your bait runs like crazy you know you put it near a flathead. It's like a free fish radar lol. Just throw that bait back in that same area until it gets ate. I have caught several flathead over 80lbs by using this method. I also accidentally caught a few large bass and couple musky. Great video!

I usually fish a few miles down from there on the bank. Ive pulled a few nice cats. A couple in the 20-30 range and one that was about a 60. Will have to try by the dam again now. Thanks

Always had good luck fishing the stalls also...good job. If you want fish to come out....open your bail pull some slack and whip the slack line in air. Sounds weird but they will swim out of the stall

Great video! You should try for bass with those size live shad near the current breaks. Hook them behind the back fin with a 3/0 hook and let them swim, free line them, just remember to let them run with it a ways before the hookset or you will miss them.

Im pretty sure I was there that same day on the rocks about half way down to the bridge. Still trying to figure out how to fish that heavy current for bass. I did catch a 3 pounder or so on a spoon that day.

Cummins808 , I hear ya man!!!! don't u just H-8 when ur fish'n a spot by urself & a.s.a. u start catching fish here come ALL the "BOGARTS" fish'n right next to u. elbow to elbow, having the WHOLE lake to fish BUT they'd rather fish right next t to u!!!!! man.......that books my skin!!!!! so please guys, RESPECT the 50ft. rule!!!!!!
