So I usually go snagging at least 100 yards below the dams. However this trick is slick. I lost 3 spoons today due to only having 20 lb braid on my rod and the buffalo and Asian carp were way over 20. The workers at the dam I was at today came out to watch me it was a blast.

JOE, I want to commend you on the way you reply to your subscriber,s comment,s,when sometime,s they may be a little bit on the hurting side.None of us are perect by no mean,s,me included.Were all here trying our best to make it through this world we live in.Keep doing what you do best and don,t worry about a few thumb,s down.Truth be known,it,s probably someone who wishe,s they could do what you do.I,VE noticed everytime someone say,s something a little bit cutting to LUKE on cat,s and carp he immedietly fire,s back at them in a hateful manner.You don,t and it,s noticeable.Stay focused on what you do and keep pressing forward.Im going to go fishing down your way with my 90 year old dad this next weekend for 3 day,s and night,s and see if we can break the 65 pounder he landed last month down there.

Did you actually lip hook any? It was more like snagging with that spoon then fishing just saying!
@ChattCats6 жыл бұрын
A few of the fish were hooked in the mouth. Sometimes you will snag or foul hook them, especially if they are stacked in there thick as flies. Please know my intent was not to snag fish. I've done this jigging technique for a few years now with smaller spoons. The bigger shad were running that day so I was matching the size of the lure with the size of the bait.
