He owed nothing to them French colonizers. So since Cameroon didn't qualify, the USA was the second best choice for him.

Why did he filled for French nationality then? Why did he wrote a cover letter to the French president. He wanted to play the Olympics, he thought France was the easiest way to do it, then he changed his mind when he had the opportunity to play for USA. Invoking the French colonial past excuse is the reason why he got booed. He could have been honest, and been booed less.

@@Nostyboss I don't know and don't care. Whether it is the German's, British, or French, he owes nothing to the colonizers and he can play for whomever he is legally allowed to play for.

And then when he finally have that passport he decides to go to play for US. Honestly it's fair that French fans are angry with him. By the way you called France a colonizer I get it, but wait till you hear what US did in his history...

@@Jordan-u2x Get it through your head, he is a grown ass man, and he did what was best for him, not for France, which he owes no allegiance to. Don't get me started on the USA, they just took things like slavery and colonization and took them to a whole nother level. So if a person that could play for the USA decides to play for another country, I would not boo them. I might talk a little ish if they got beat by the USA, but wait, he won Gold with the USA team 😁😁

An adult professional sportman don't manipulate TWO countries saying that will play for him, ask one of the two the passport than go to play for a third country. This doesn't make sense, why do you ask for the passport anyway? This is also a disrespect to all the people who are waiting for a passport for years a still don't have it

Boy had the opportunity to give Cameroon a ticket to Paris with the World Cup, but instead chose to sit out and use that as an excuse to cruise his way to Gold with a stacked US team. Mf is a sellout.
