Can Alabama's offense keep thriving throughout the season?

You can’t live off the big play against teams like Georgia, Texas or a couple other playoff teams they may face. The deep ball is how Milroe wants to play as often as possible, we’ll see if DeBoer can get him to convert 3rd downs when they take the deep ball away

Comment about the TV production - you mention it yourself - even though Ryan Williams is running a very short route, the camera is zoomed in too far to see anything. This drives me nuts. What is the rationale literally every network has for this camera practice? Seeing nothing but the line of scrimmage denies the viewers the full story of each play. Please remedy this.
@AK-sq1jlАй бұрын
My theory is that it is because back in the day teams ran the ball a lot more than they passed it so we started off with that camera angle zoomed in so you can see the line of scrimmage and ball carrier easier and then that kind of just became the norm and now the zoomed out All 22 version just looks "off" to the average viewer so we still use that same zoomed in camera angle to this day. It's just what the avg person is conditioned to.
@ketolomicsАй бұрын
I wish the networks would provide a wide angle feed we could purchase in order to see the backfield and secondary throughout each play. Camera techs are forever zooming in, leaving critical action/matchups/decoys off camera. The more you see, the more you can get inside the flow of the game.

Klatt: "Scouting for signs didn't provide any advantage for Michigan." Also Klatt: "When Orji goes in, it's a huge disadvantage for Michigan because the defense knows they can expect a run play." Also also Klatt: "TCU had 'help' and this time it provided them a competitive advantage to help them beat Michigan."

Joel, Bama fan here. We need to show ability to grind it out, the 12 play 80 yard drive. Milroe has to be able to throw short and accurate over the middle. More use of the TE and wheel routes by the RB. On D shore up the run D. We will see in the Georgia game.
@johnandrewoverstreet4180Ай бұрын
As another bama fan. College you can win without a consistent intermediate passing game. Example Michigan. I compare asking Jalen to run an offense based on short and medium passes is like asking prime Shaq to focus on 3’s and midrange. Jalen’s running ability is the best of any QB in the country and we should play to his strengths, thus like asking Shaq to dominate the paint.
@mnshws12Ай бұрын
@@johnandrewoverstreet4180 We shall see who is right after the Georgia game. Remember, the problem last year was lack of short passing and utilizing the backs in checkdown. Even the great TE like Niblack was not used. If I am a Def Coordinator, I double Ryan, press the other 2, spy Jalen with 2 LB and see where he throws it. Jalen needs to learn, it is not 30 yards or nothing, give me 5 yards and get rid of the football. You will see a lot of blitzing by Georgia. Remember, I know my football real well!
@johnandrewoverstreet4180Ай бұрын
@@mnshws12 Georgia will be a great test. Secondary needs to bring their A game. But this Alabama team, besides some key pieces in the secondary, is a lot like the team from last year but with better weapons, better more experienced offensive line, a quarterback with the whole year of experience that is already beaten this team in their home state. Obviously the line of scrimmage is gonna be where the game is won and I think Alabamas o line unit might be the best we’ve had in 4-5 years. The line is already started to move on in Bamas favor because I think people are starting to see that.
@johnandrewoverstreet4180Ай бұрын
Also interested to see how Georgias offense is gonna be. Secondary won’t be challenged as much if they aren’t able to break explosive plays. The way Alabama gets in trouble if milroe isn’t able to pick up blitzing assignments and we’re not able to get about 4 yards carry.
@mnshws12Ай бұрын
I have said this before, this is an unstoppable O, line play, WR, RB, TE all loaded. It’s the QB that worries me. He plays like the SEC champ game, we win, he plays like the Rose Bowl, we lose. This D, ours, will give up points, and Georgia will grind plays and drag the game out, since they are not explosive. We have to outscore them, and not hurt ourselves. I also see K Law as a big factor! Also would love to see one of our DB in the offensive backfield, and I think you know which. I won’t say much more.
