They talk about Barkley with no context what so ever. "Only twice they ran him over 20 times" yet they don't mention how much he caught the ball out of the backfield. Penn State knew their offensive line was terrible so they did what they could to get Barkley in space. "He isn't Zeke" nope. He's better. We talk about the production of Zeke in college but don't mention his Oline at OSU vs the Oline at PSU. And of course skip doesn't bring it up because he gives Zeke all the credit for the Dallas Oline lol. What do we know about Barkley? He's 6ft 233lbs with insane quickness and speed at his size. He has amazing hands and a pretty good route running tree coming out. Does he always run through contact? No but if he can pick up extra yards by cutting and taking less impact, that's a plus in my book. Makes his career potentially longer. His only flaws are trying to hard to make a big play and lack of pass blocking technique. Think about that. Dude is the 2nd coming of LT and I've been preaching it for 6 months.

Zeke in his last season at Ohio st had 4 lineman currently in the nfl and the year before that he had 3 lineman currently in the nfl.. Barkley’s past two years he’s had zero nfl lineman that’s a big difference not to mention of course Zeke has one of the best run blocking lines in the nfl.. put Barkley on Ohio st these past two years and he would have been even better.. Saquon is an absolute monster. He can run between the tackles, catch passes, and play on punt/kick returns. However, the Browns organization is a dumpster fire from the CEO all the way down to the equipment manager. As good as Barkley is, he can’t single handedly change that franchise. Take a quarterback.

Donald Hand At that point it’s worthless if the guy who wanted most is gone. That’s cool if Rosen is still there and you wanted him, but what if you wanted him the most and he’s gone? SETTLING at QB is the worst thing you can do as an NFL team. No one can have the #1 QB if you take him at 1. Barkley is special athletically, but as a RB prospect he isn’t that much better than the rest of the RB class.

Kyran Black like I said above, watch the games. PSU offensive line was horrible all year long, and yes he got shut down more this year, due to having a terrible line. I’d take Saquan 100 times out of 100 over Zeke, just based on their character alone. Zeke is a punk. All backs are east west runners when their line isn’t that good. He was great behind a mediocre line, so imagine what a NFL line could do for him. Saquan is more of a complete back than Zeke, the only thing Zeke may do a little better is run between the tackles, and again, that’s a product of having a good offensive line. Barkley runs faster, is stronger, jumps higher, has that 6th gear that Zeke does not, and above all, Saquan is a high character individual. So how did Saquan do against that #1 rushing defense in Washington state??

This weekend helped prove that Barkley is not the best RB in the NFL: - Cleveland was right to take a QB. Look how Chubb ran - 92 yds for a TD. - Last night, Zeke had 19 carries for over 151 yards. (And his Rt Guard Zac Martin was hurt for part of the 1st Half). Gurley and Zeke are as valuable as Saquon - but they didn't cost a 2nd overall pick. Tonight, Barkley carried 20 times for only 60-some yds. About 3.3. yds per carry. He had some special runs - but mostly SF's gameplan was to tackle Barkley on the outside leg, keeping him bw the tackles and not letting him bounce outside. On a key 1st half play in the red zone, Barkley gets shut down on 3rd & Goal and the goal line. That could've hurt NY's chances of winning a lot. Fortunately, NY got some INT's off bobbled passes by the rookie QB. Barkley was held to like under 60 yards by Rutgers - this is the NFL, all that dancing side to side doesn't work as well as in college.

Yes, Barkley caught a big pass at the end of the game to help the Giants win - but there are other players who can do that for you at much lower than the top 2 picks in the draft. Kerryon Johnson is really good. Rashaad Penny just had 100 yds on like 15 carries. They guy who starts over Penny, Chris Carson, was like a 7th rd pick. doesn't make him worth the No. 2 overall pick compared to a potential franchise QB. Barkley is and will be a star. He's likeable and he'll sell lots of tickets. That doesn't make him as valuable to winning though as a franchise QB. Eli had to work really hard just to beat a 2-7 team tonight.

Barkley most certainly can be a back where you give it to him 20-30 times a game. His circumstances in college didn't show it because of the type of offense they ran and how little faith they had in their offensive line. If you put Zeke behind this Penn State offensive line the past few years, no one would be talking about him even getting drafted on day 1. People look at rushing yards and averages and forget that it's not a strict reflection on the runningback, but also massively accounts for the quality of the play of his offensive line, play-calling and coaching, all of which skewed Barkley's numbers in college to make him look more pedestrian.

Cleveland doesnt NEED to get a Qb. They NEED to build their Line. There isn't a Qb in the league that would be succesfull behind a line that makes your Qb go out of pocket 90% of the time. The Browns have way more than a Qb problem and its people like Shannon who will only make the Browns worse if they only focus on "We NEED a Qb". They need to get Barkley at #1 and then get Fitzpatrick or Ward at #4. After them focus on your line, maybe 2 recievers and some more defensive spots.

I think they should take Barkley number one only if they think they can get they guy at number 4. Browns are a lock to get either Darnold, Rosen, Allen, or... Baker. Barkley is a game changer and I think either of the 3 Qbs will be good so why not take him.

Who would be scared to see a Saquan Barkley/ Lamar Jackson read option offense with Josh Gordon at receiver? That would be a nightmare for the NFL.

Cleveland picked up Jarvis Landry and Tyrrod Taylor But if i were the GM, Id do one of 2 things Either take Barkley #1 and a QB at #4 to learn under Taylor for the future...or to use as trade bait if you believe in Taylor (i do) -or- They could take a qb at 1 and 4 and use them both as trade bait.....They could take Darnold and Mayfield/Rosen/Allen Then trade one or both of them for a lot of pieces that make them better NOW and draft picks

Arguments sound good if they only had the top pick,but they have the top pick and the 4th pick behind 2 teams in the Giants and Colts who have franchise qb's. Take Barkley and your qb will still be there at 4. This is an Eli,Big Ben,and Rivers type qb draft. Throw in a modern era potential Brees(Mayfield)and Vick(Jackson),and you're guaranteed to get your qb of the future if you choose the right guy.

I would take Barkley with the 1 and Chubb with the 4th and then sign AJ McCerron and just roll with that. Cleveland needs to strengthen the defensive line and get off the field on 3rd downs. Be Jacksonville and build the team with talent and good free agent signings
