I have been looking it to different types of sawmills the fist idea was to build a band saw mill like this one. I looked in to plans and everything then I found a swing blade mill and was in awe of how fast it was It was very impressive so I started looking into them. then I found a guy that had a version of a swing blade mill but with 2 saw blades on it one pass one board a very very sexy saw mill. I just to a new place where I have the room to put one in but I have so many things to don't know if I will ever build one. but it was fun doing the research for sure.

Joel, I have followed your path for some time and I am a big fan but I don't understand why you don't use the hardwood chips for gourmet mushroom cultivation ,either before or after animal bedding (with the addition of nitrogen and mechanical breakdown). The return on investment is much greater and a big in to high end restaurants. I have to buy my logs from tree removal services and it is still a good deal. Just wondering?

Not that it matters, I guess, but that is built backwards (mirror image) to any band sawmill I've ever seen. Anyone else notice that?

Yes it runs opposite to others, but also notice that the sawdust is blown away from the operator.

He pulls them out of his pocket at 1:30 and puts them in at 2:15 just before starting it up.
