I have had a crush on your Queen since I was about 8 years old. Queen Elizabeth’s first state visit to the US was either they year of her coronation or the next year, and one of her stops on her tour was the University of Maryland. Going from Washington DC to the University of Maryland, her motorcade passed right in front of our house. She was quite young, very beautiful, and she waved at me … just me … in particular. My mother tried to explain that the Queen was just waving at everybody, but I knew better. HaHa … And, yes, I am that old.

The queen is awesome. Growing up, my Mother was an Anglophile and you would have thought she and The Queen were fast friends. My Mama is a riot. Yes of course I will be watching the wedding. We got up so very early when I was very little to watch Charles & Diana wed, same for Diana’s funeral, William & Kate’s wedding. Only sad thing is that I’ve moved away from being in the same city as my Mom so I am pretty positive it won’t be the same. We would have tea and scones.. just enjoy ourselves. She has Alzheimer’s now and my Dad hasn’t really participated with us so I wonder how to get her to watch it.. hmmm. Anyways- all ready for Saturday!! You two are so funny! 👑👑
