You are welcome Joel. No, the soap wasn't a commentary on your hygiene. Just another demonstration on how 3D printing can be used to create. Enjoy the soap and glad it made it to you. High Five!

Hi! That was an amazing job with the soap. What kind of silicon did you use? The one I found on KZbin required a Vacuum Chamber which I can't afford. Also any tips will be appreciated!

@@rokkr I used Crafter's Companion A20501 Amazing Casting Products Alumilite High Strength 3 Liquid Mold Making Rubber, 1-Pound, Pink that you can get on Amazon. I didn't use a vacuum chamber and it works great. I print the object (Joelbot in Carbonite). Then I print a box by designing a solid object bigger than the object in Tinkercad and print it in vase mode. Give yourself at least a centimeter on all sides. Now I glue the object to the bottom of the box. You can determine the amount of silicone you will need by putting rice in the mold and measure how much rice filled the mold. Coat the surfaces that will contact the silicone with mold release. Less is better here. Mix your silicone and pour slowly at a low spot. When the mold is filled I tap or drop the mold gently to enable bubbles to come to the top. Be patient and let it cure. Don't worry if there are bubbles at the top. That usually means there won't be ones on the object. Then I usually have to cut off the outer box and that is easy, because I printed in vase mode. Remove object and then you have a mold. You can use the same mold to make plaster of paris objects too. Soap comes out easily. Also, I have used smooth on products too. All seem to work fine without a vacuum chamber. The silicone will reproduce the printing lines. I have sanded and spray painted one object to get a smoother finish before making a mold. Good Luck and have fun.

@@jamesfoley4254 Thank you so much for the info. I think I will go nuts making molds now... (Also I think my wife will hate you a little bit when she finds out where the money went after I buy the materials)

@@rokkr You didn't read my disclaimer that I am not responsible for any relationship rifts due to advice or implementation of my advice. Yes, you can spend a lot on silicone. Hmm, there is an unintended joke in there somewhere.

I messed with a Bukobot before, but I truly cut my teeth on the Robo R1. Good machine, if less precise than the Prusa (I probably didn't have the extrusion settings right).

I went to a guitar shop and they said this will be the biggest thing and newest thing for guitar players, and said that the rough of the plastic makes it better to hold. And thank you for telling me of what 3D printer that you recommend, thank you lots of reading my letters again and mentioning my name.

I would love to own an i3mk3s. Problem with that, or with any Prusa, is that they're not in stock and available to purchase "right now." If they were, I would own a couple by now. Hopefully they'll have stock someday. I will be looking again later in the year.

PULSE PTFE TUBE problem. Might Have a SOLUTION. Sorry to contact you like this but IDK another way. I have the problem too and now been free of that failure with this that I posted on the MH bulletinboard forums.matterhackers.com/topic/6123/bond-tech-extruder-loosing-ptfe-tube/3. I'd post the STL too but they don't let me upload and IDK right now how else and might be all the same anyway as its designed to be printed on a pulse with a .8 nozzle dialed in accurately. When I get some breathing room I might do a video but beyond "my kids" (FRC Team 1989) nobody watches them anyway and I see them all the time besides I've been told my videos have too much math and not enough cats. Anyway seems to be working here sofar. Might do a couple of improvements in the near future though. Other things that will be done to the Pulse is make a better enclosure, put a drag chain on the bed wireing (make sure at least its tied up to the wall of the electronics board or sooner or later you kill the mini rambo its a problem well documented on the PRUSA forum), redesign the hotend as the fan in the stock settings causes occasional thermal runaways if you are printing at temps >265 with the bed at >90 and the fan at 100% within 10mm of the hotplate plus if you have a print curl up there is a good chance it rips the leg of the BL touch off (I went through 3 and am leveling manually for the past 3 months). Not that its that bad a printer we put an average of 4 to 6kg of filament / week through that thing currently -mostly HIPS NYLON and some PETG and only occasionally less than 3 % PLA. With the current projects with the kids I get to it in about 15 kg the earliest (we are printing a 32x28x52 INCH 120 lb robot well not everything cant print motors and electronics yet). At least we are trying. And all on a Pulse. Hope that thing keeps working and that little thing I designed does the trick. If you are interested let me know and I tell you how to dial it in for that as you got to be accurate to < 0.1 mm
