For 299.99 that's pretty damn good. 4s and almost hitting 60 is kinda crazy. Unfortunate on the shocks part at the end but I think it's a steal. And there's a truggy version of it too so that's pretty cool 👌

The classic Ch3vy Deluxe looking body does it for me. The value can't be beaten for the power and it looks really solid. As a seasoned racer, I can deal with the suspension and tires (upgrade) but the access to the rear CV joints is nearly inexcusable. I will definitely give it a try. I was sold at 58/59mph!!! Awesome review!!!

Great overview! The chassis and several of the components are also found on the W.O.V. racing brand vehicles. I think the main chassis, drivetrain, steering brackets and rear hubs are the same from what I see

Also, the shocks may have the same issues as the WOV vehicles. The inner piston spacer broke in half on mine. I replaced it with Team Corally Skeeter shocks.

Can't wait for mine to be delivered. I ordered the Vigilante during the live stream when it was introduced and it has been much better than i expected. I'm hoping this one follows suit. I was really hoping Redcat was going to release a 5th scale electric Typhon type buggy instead. My wallet was happier it was this. We want a large scale buggy! Nobody else is offering one. They should add a short course (SC) version (the wheelbase might need to be longer and a shorter track width) - it looks like it would beat other SC in the price range (racer or basher)!

This is a good review. You were showing the truck for what it is. And you also mentioned some concerns you had about it. For your crawler reviews though, I don’t think you drive them on hard enough of obstacles to really show just how capable it is. A crawler needs to reach its limit to see if it hangs up or if the suspension geometry unloads weird as it transfers weight. You should bring a good set of tires to swap on to it to eliminate bad rtr tires from hurting its performance. Like jlconcepts tusks

This is made off the Tyrants Buggy platform because I had it but sold it because of the shocks where very weak on it and it's hard to find some that fit, hopefully they fix that problem ! Also it a way better system in this one the Tyrants has some unknown brand in it and it was kinda weak, so hopefully they fix all the problems on this one, looks good though!!

This is very, very impressive. This is the first non- Arrma I have had interest in in a long while. The price is also a huge plus. I owned a Redcat Kaiju previously and that was a well made truck despite the low price tag. I dont mind as much if something goes wrong if the price is reasonable. I get enraged when it happens all the time which was my experience with Traxxas and why I will never buy one again. Last year going into early this year I bought a bunch of Traxxas vechiles and each one of them had a major problem out of the box. Several came with faulty receivers and several more with faulty esc's. When one is paying $500 to $1,000 for an rc, one does not expect to have problems like I had. Not to mention the hassle it was getting replacements despite having just bought the vechiles. $300, while it would not be ideal, it is at least more tolerable.

Imo I'm a huge fan of the slider axles! Every truck I've ever ran with a dogbone / diff cup setup has eventually destroyed the diff cups requiring me to rebuild the differentials. The slider axle setup does not have this issue at all!
