Teams now under 30 day transfer rule will replace HC departures with other HC's who will bring players in portal. Washington needs the players Jedd has as much or more than they need JF. The transfer rule needs amending after a HC is hired away. Washington now dangling a couple million in front of AZ qb or top receiver. They are not done with the poaching process. Arizona will hire within or get Johnney from Texas to keep players from transferring or they go the HC route and poach players to fill spots leaving for Wash or elsewhere.

I think what DeBoer did to Washington is worse. Has there ever been a time where a coach goes to the national championship and leaves 3 days later? At the same time I can also say that I’m more shocked about Fisch leaving. Arizona has (or at least had) 18 starters returning after going 10-3 and finishing 11th and joining a Big 12 that no longer has Texas or Oklahoma. With the 12 team playoff, I would have bet money that Arizona would have been in next season. DeBoer doesn’t rebuild. Never has as a division 1 head coach, and I question whether he ever will. Lot of players from Washington are graduating or leaving to the draft, and DeBoer didn’t exactly do a fantastic job at recruiting. If I were Arizona, I’d hire your offensive coordinator as the new HC, even if it isn’t the best hire. Just for retention alone. I’m excited to see what transpires with the rest of Arizona’s coaching staff and roster during the transfer portal. My guess is, Jedd gave UW some promises that he would bring over not only coaches, but players as well. If my team were in the ACC and Big 12, I’d be very afraid. I have a feeling teams from those conference are going to be seeing a lot of this. It’s now the Power 2, mid 2, and g5. I do not like the current landscape of college football, and I’m going to greatly miss the PAC 12. I’m afraid the only chance the Big 12 and ACC have is if they merge and can keep FSU and Clemson.
