❤🎉 Joel, Annie is by leaps and bounds my favorite of all people you introduced to Ren. Annie to me has a true RENegade spirit. The answer to her question is RENS yang ☯️ is what he is doing, bringing awareness to those who need it and being a companion to those who sometimes live in the dark. REN purposefully talks about things that make us humans super uncomfortable but all humans are connected we all share this earth we all have free will and his mission is bringing emotion, feelings, thought provoking things that we can change together to change our current path as a species. Ren " the path we are on is a self made armageddon. We can build utopia's priority number 1 community- respect each other even if you don't agree or understand. Put out love, kindness and selflessness into the world. Priority 2 to respect our mother earth to move it more towards its homeostasis. He wants people to wake up, realize what the truth of our thinking influence and bringing awareness to how the powers of the world have manipulated us to keep us separate easier to control. He already as opened millions of people's eyes and has created a network still growing of people now doing the same.

There isn't just one single contrast in Ren's catalogue. They are all very different, that's part of the way he works and never repeats himself. He sees each song as a challenge to create someting uniquely different. Instrumental, raps, poetry, retakes of classic songs, sometimes rude, sometimes heartfelt. He isn't a 'coin with two sides', he's a dodecahedron!

Ren sees himself as a storyteller and a voice for those made invisible by chronic mental and physical illness. Having spent 7-8 years searching for diagnosis and treatment, he is well aware of those who have fallen through the cracks of society as it is now. He has always been a voice for change and unity. I don't know if she would fair well. She would miss most of the great acting and story telling being behind her hands for most of the tales. She would be broke before Violet's tale was halfway through. How is she a manager with that temperament? I only see her working at a botanical gardens tending and nurturing the flowers.

"Autoimmunity." That sounds nice and vague. In Ren's own words, he suffered from depression from an early age and became ill with Lyme Disease in his late teens and early twenties. He was persistently misdiagnosed and the misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatement cost him years of his life and a record deal. Hence the lyrics of "Sick Boi." "Sick booi, sick boi, bitten by a tick boi." He is not really just "livingin Canada." He is in Canada pursuing additional treatment for the Lyme Disease that is not available in the U.K, as he has had stem cell treatment here in the U.S at least twice. Every time this is glossed over it makes it more difficult for Lyme Disease sufferrers to receive accurate diagnoses and treatment.

Yes, was a 'heavy' introduction, but powerful and impactful, as many of Ren's topics are. He never shies away from the challenging social issues. Particularly the one's that are confronting and that we are inclined to 'look away' from, as your guest did... He says;"No! Stop! Pay attention to this! We need to do something to FIX this! And we CAN!" Ren is not only a hugely creative boundary busting, genre busting artist, but also a Powerful Social Commentator and a Change Agent. You cannot BE a Social Change Agent without stirring the pot, so yes, he will receive flash back, but, as your gurest poiints out; Ren is extremely intelligent, and he understands that he must keep his eye on the bigger picture to succeed. Good to see that she appreciated the excellence of all the performance and production elements involved. It's hard to work out what is Ren's 'OPUS'! He keeps on producing masterpiece after masterpiece! For the lighter stuff - you might introduce her to his "Losing It' and one of his Busking performnces - with The Big Push. Theo ne that I think really demonstrates a great ranger of his vocal finnesse is the 'I Shot The Sheriff/ Zion/ Hip Hop' medley. 😍🤩

Listening to Annie and her closing words about raising other people up as a manager, I immediately thought of Ren's 1 Million Subscriber statement last year. It's posted on his @renmakesmusic channel, if she's interested in viewing it--one of the best ways to get an idea of what Ren's work is about: "A rising tide raises all ships." Plus he has Dylan Thomas' poem Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night tattooed on his back. 😂 I really enjoyed this reaction!
