great video. lots of classics - tear ring saga (made by shouzou kaga the creator of fire emblem) shining force series, yggdra union and underrated gems you don't see mentioned in other vids (dark deity, symphony of war, banner of the maid)

no Bahamut Lagoon in list because the team battle like Final Fantasy? the tactical part of this game is good. you can burn enemy in forest with fire magic/skill. use ice magic on water to build path and when enemy on that path use fire magic to melt path and drown enemy. Etc.

imo, games presented here number 16, 13 and 11 are the most similar to fire emblem. number 11 being the most unexpected among them.

I wanted to try out both SD Gundam Saga and SRW 30, but they seem like a hard recommend for people who aren't into those mecha sentai franchises. Having said that, if you do want to play a good game in that vein, you can try "Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars" on the GBA.

lots of great games but I can take seriously any videogame list that features LANGERISSER... sorry Joel, but really, I ended up buying them because videos like this and that games are a JOKE, have YOU played them??? the difficulty on those games is so non existent that you cant take them seriously, like really, those games shouldnt even exist, they make no sense whatsoever, please DO NOT recommend those games!

So flawed that they have sold many copies, 8 console parts I think? Yeah, you need to rethink your definition of fun because Langrisser is a staple of SRPGs. Heck, even the mobile version of Langrisser has been around for 6 years and still making money.

I played Warsong 1/Langrissor 1 for the Sega Genesis renting it clear back in the early 1990's. The animation style I prefer to Fire Emblem. The music is good. The characters are good. The gameplay is good. I recommend looking up the original concept art for the game and listening to a few musical tracks. The original version of the game you can also watch here on KZbin. The remake of Langrissor for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch was a step down. I have not played the remake. Though, I have looked it up.
