Your video is an inspiration! 2020 was a bummer, as we couldn't find any places to go camping (thanks, pandemic), but we're bound and determined to get out and see the country this year in our own 3740BH. You did a really nice job with the simple modifications, and a great job showing off the rig. We tow with a Ram 3500 Laramie with a Cummings, what do you use?

Thanks! We pulled that rig with a Ford F-350. There’s a video about our truck on the channel as well :)

Joel/Jenna, thank you very much for sharing this vid of your 5th wheel. It is a very nice design! I am still contemplating about full timing, but my wife isn't too keen on the idea. I do however put the bug in her ear about how she always wanted to travel throughout the lower 48. So maybe she will warm up to the idea someday. Thank you again for sharing. BTW Joel, we could definitely be friends. My favorite sauce from CF-A is also Polynesian. ^_^

Great video! We had to chuckle at some of the similarities. We are from Ohio and our hat collection consists of OSU and Reds hats. We have 2 boys, one named Cooper. We began fulltime RV life in Oct 2018 and after 2 months on the road realized our first rv was not suited for full time living and upgraded to a Grand Design (2019 Transcend 29TBS). We bought our campers with cash as well which is why we are in a Transcend and not Solitude at this time Haha We love your model and this tour was awesome!

Hi Joel! My wife and I are planning to move to full-time RV living early next year with two little ones. We are looking at the exact same fifth wheel that y’all purchased. Can you tell me what you are pulling the trailer with? Disregard, I found one of your other videos showing the F350. We are looking at getting a Chevy 3500 dually. I love your set up in the bedroom for workspace. Can you send me the dimensions for the custom countertop that you had cut? Also, how did you mount it?

Excellent review and insights. Your video was exactly what I was looking for as my wife and I, with are two small children are thinking about doing the same. It's very difficult to get good content that really helps see how living in the RV would really be. Many thanks for taking the time to post this and share. And I also work in IT - as a PFE and I've been trying to find something which will allow me to effectively work without asking the family to always be quiet. Your setup was exactly what I needed to find! And - yup - home schooling as well. All the best!
@jacoblavender57666 жыл бұрын
Well, you guys didn't help after all. We pulled the trigger and put a deposit down on a 3740BH - probably going to take possession in 2 to 6 weeks. LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE! After almost 1.5 years of looking for what was right for our family - so again thanks - you guys really helped. We're looking to head west as well - probably starting after the new year, hug the southern US and then make our way back across mid-May. I have to do a lot of work out of DC (ugh!) and so we're considering finding a good place for the spring and summer season which keeps me off the plane so much and more at home in our RV with the family. All the best to you and your family. Maybe we'll cross paths out there in the great out yonder!

Just subscribed bc I thought you video was great. Two questions if I may? What camper did you right before this one? and what major issues did you have? Second.....🤔ok three questions. What do you do for a living that allows you to full time? Again great entertaining video and thank you.

Joel, right now we are still in the process of getting the RV and selling the house, but our first plan is to travel the West Coast since we are already on this side of the states. I know my wife is really excited to go up to Canada next summer. For me I can't wait to see Yellowstone. I do have one question for you, what do you use for your tow vehicle? My current rig can tow it, but it is right at its limits if I load the RV to its max.

Oh my gosh! My husband just found your video and he’s like, “I found our trailer!” We are 2 1/2 months into our full time adventure and are happy with our Highland Ridge but know it has limitations. Your Grand Design is a perfect setup for a family of five! By the way, being debt free totally rocks! We sold our house and paid for our truck and trailer as well as a family debt. Are you a part of Full Time Families? We have sub’d and look forward to following your story.

Great Video, guys! I have a question, hubby and I will become full-timers soon, our kids are grown but was looking at the 3740BH because of it's huge storage capacity in the bunkhouse but wondering if the 40' plus size would narrow our choice of national and RV parks due to size limits? We're trying to decide between less storage with a 35-37" rig or more with a 40' rig-also how difficult is it to be towing and travelling with such a large rig? Driving on a two lane road, getting in and out of a gas station or backing into a space? We currently own a 36' travel trailer so maybe 4' might not make much difference, but if I talk hubby into the 3740 I don't want to be hearing "I TOLD you this was going to be too big"! Also how's the quality of the Grand Design S-Class? Been in some with the same price tag that really felt rather cheaply made. Thanks!
