@@lauretta90100 dipende dal luogo. Nel Sud dell’Inghilterra molti parlano in un modo simile a Joe. Un esempio di persona con una dizione molto pulita è John Oliver (che vive negli USA, ma è inglese). Nel Nord dell’Inghilterra si parla in modo molto diverso, basti guardare i film di Ken Loach per avere un’idea... Alla fine comunque è questione di abitudine.

I love Marielena's Welsh accent. I was raised in a bilingual family too (English mum, Italian dad) and we spoke a mixture of the two languages among ourselves as all bilingual people do (or at least every bilingual person I've met does this). We then switch to one language only when we are interacting with a monolingual speaker. There used to be some strange ideas about bilingualism. We (my parents as well as myself when I was raising my child) too were discouraged (mostly by monolingual teachers) and were advised to speak just one language at home as we were told we'd confuse the children who would end up not being able to distinguish one from the other which of course we know, from our own personal experience, the experience of others and now research, is complete nonsense.

Hi guys. I just wander if Jo is able to speak even dialect.... cause you know, here in Sicily, Luke, who's a native english got married with a sicilian woman, speaks perfectly sicilien dialect. Once, he came at my home for teaching english to my daughter and, crossing my garden, beside the entrance, used do congratulations for the careless. A time, I asked him why he didn't take care of him garden too and.. what guess? Through perfect dialect, starring me, he replied "Man, you're just kidding me. My wife would huges me working!" 🤣🤣🤣. Hi Joe! Thank you so much for your excellent method of teaching! But now I’m very curious to know your opinion about the bad Italian habit to use English words when they...SPEAK ITALIAN! Given that I love English and I daily use it in my job, at the same time I don’t like the “wild” use of English words from many italians when UNNECESSARY! I know perfectly well that many words have entered into common use long since, I think of the terminology of the IT sector, Internet or the show business, BUT...why say “location” and not “posto, luogo o sito”,“manager” and not “direttore”, “party” and not “festa”, “trendy” and not “alla moda???” Do they do that to be...TRENDY??? I’m quite sure is that many of these people aren’t able to speak English when they should really do that! I think The “Sommo Poeta” Dante Alighieri is turning in his grave!
