Really nice dives and fantastic environment. Being a beginner myself, I felt I was lacking some air at times when staring at this school of bass at the beginning...😂 Don’t you ever go back up to breathe??

Hey there. I'm a passionate and quite experienced freediver from germany and very interested in spearfishing, which is unfortunatly strictly prohibited here. I'm planning for a summer vacation with the family in the cornwall area next year and i'm wondering if i as a foreigner would be allowed to spearfish in the UK and what kind of permissions i would need.
@JoePkSpearfishing5 жыл бұрын
You can spearfish here. There is no requirement for permit - just be aware of fish bag limits and size limits.

Joe, I'm really enjoying your videos. I like the commentary as well. Can you explain how you mount your gopro? Cheers. Chris
@JoePkSpearfishing6 жыл бұрын
I've been thinking about making a video on my gopro mount as it would be rather difficult to explain. I fashion my own to a robust trusty design! Many thanks for your comment, cheers.

What kind of fins do you use? I’m ready to upgrade from cheap plastic to fiberglass or carbon. I scuba also so want something that can work with either free diving or scuba
@JoePkSpearfishing4 жыл бұрын
I use a medium stiffness carbon with a pathos footpocket 👍
@dineshthirupuvanarajah74667 жыл бұрын
Lovely video Joe. What fins do you use mate? Also do you find the Cressi 75 better for shore dives compared to the Tuna 90 I saw you use in the deep dives?
@JoePkSpearfishing7 жыл бұрын
Some pretty flexible second hand carbon fins, I'm sorry I got them through a friend not sure what make. As for guns I just used a 75 in this video as I was on holiday with the family and was pushed for space, in clear water the 90 is usually my gun of choice as I find it has a bit more range/clout

A. Do not pull the rope of your reel after the shot. Do that AFTER you reach the surface. It is dangerous having all that rope around your feet or stuck between some rocks and you when you are underwater. B. Buy another knife and put both of them on to your belt. One to the left and one to the right. Nice video 👍
@JoePkSpearfishing6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I bet it looks very different to the sea you hunt!
@kouvanos6 жыл бұрын
Joe Pk it has the same dangers. And since here in Greece we have a big spearo community and sharing every bad experience, I thought I say these ideas to you to prevent the worst
@JoePkSpearfishing6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing. I will occasionally flick the rope up so it doesn't get tangled in the kelp, but I can see how that can cause bigger potential problems...
