Black is the very worst colour to make a Sib or Rib out of - for 2 reasons ;- on those hot days it can get very hot and uncomfortable to touch/sit on and more importantly you will have to keep an eye on the pressure or have a pressure release valve installed - otherwise if you don't have a pressure release valve and are distracted away from the vessel (when parked up ashore) there will be a good chance that you will hear a nasty loud pop. The best colour by far is white - as on those very hot sunny days these reflect the sun fantastically and weirdly stay cool to the touch. The puncture proof tyres are reassuring(especially the small ones for little outboards) but thats about all - the whole idea of inflatable tyres is that they give a great bounce that assists over rocks and dips - especially when you have a very heavy outboard - a good set of rubber(not vinyl) wheel barrow tyres should last around 10 years.

I think a wild caught Eel of this size would worth 100k or more in Japanese or Korean Fish market.

How I missed doing it again. I moved here in UK from Philippines. We do spearfishing day and night if you're brave enough and visibility is good. It's a wrong decision to sell all my gears before working here 😅. I have to start from scratch again 😢

Hi Tony, fishing at night with a projectile is not allowed but foraging for lobster, crab and other species without a projectile is ok as long as you follow bag limits etc...

84 cm minimum size. And the advice is to implement a quota on Halibut north of the 62 degree and full stop south of 62 degree. I agree its the best eater, but i doubt it was on the 85 mark. Looked more around 70. I am one of those who hope this sort of tourist fishery that widely impact local fisheries to the lvl of being extinct locally several places like wolffish AND halibuts. Pretty sad.

Hi Joe, great video as always! I'm doing spearfishing in France. Just be mindful that French law forbids you from using any kind of underwater light while spearfishing... I'm guessing you have quite a few European/French viewers here so it might be something to keep in mind ;) Anyway, looking forward to watching the next video, take care!

That was a monster that you passed up and very worthy to let live. Conservation is the name of the game and many people would have probably just taken it. You guys had the trip of a lifetime and brought some of the best eating fish in the world home. Thanks for the epic video and chronicle. ❤
