I love my 3m worktunes imported them from the US to UK about a year ago. Wear them 5 days a week all day never skipped a beat always connect super fast. Do great at blocking notice from loud machinery like tablesaws planner and extractors.

Great review. My 3M earmuffs have never skipped a beat but I have two issues with them. The first is the same as you. You can’t wear a broad brim hat. My second issue is they are super hot in summer. With the hotter season about to start here in Australia, I’ll be giving the isotunes a go.

My problem with the isotunes is that even with the smallest foam tips I can barely put them in they are so big and after a few hours it just is too paintful to use. I also wish they had a mono mode for legal compliance to wear with a motorcycle, as long rides will leave my ears ringing without ear protection, but I like google maps being able to tell me where to turn.

heard of sennheiser momentum v2 over-ear? noise canceling, blutooth, replacing batteries doesnt look too expensive or hard (i need to replace mine sometime) ive had had sennheiser momentum v1 on-ears since 2013 and they still work but you need to twist the cable to get the connection right i havent tried a different cable or tried cleaning out the inside of the jack imput. but i can attest that they are very robust. maybe buy a cheap pair of over ear v2 on ebay that has some damaged leather? thats what i did. also the cable is replacable which is very nice too. and v2 has volume control/skip/play,pause on the headset itself.
