Why does no one ever question Jamie's Timeline? Jay Z was established by 1996 with his first classic album in 1996 (Reasonable Doubt), he had his first retirement album (The Black Album) in 2003. He had 8 albums by 2003 many of which are regarded as classics (Reasonable Doubt, Vol 1 - In My Lifetime, Vol 2 - Hard Knock Life, Vol 3 - Life and Times of S. Carter, The Blueprint 1, The Blueprint 2, The Black Album). 1 Collab album and a Soudtrack (Streets Is Watching 1998) and a hit single for the soundtrack for the blockbuster movie Rush Hour (Can I Get A...) all before 2003. Tupac had a bunch of disstracks naming Jay Z including Hit 'em Up and Bomb First and Jay Z had subs for Pac in Reasonable Doubt and an unreleased disstrack for Tupac which was scrapped after Pac's untimely death. Biggie and Jay Z had formed the duo - The Commission - before his untimely death with only a few song recorded and released. This is the resume of a bonafide legend by 2003!! College Drop Out (The Album that Jamie is talking about with the song Slow Jamz) came out in 2004! Kanye was releasing his mixtapes in NY from 2002 and his biggest collab in 2003 was Keyshia Cole!! "Jay Z was unknown"... He was already a legend by 2003. Even if Kanye made Slow Jamz 5 years prior (1999), Jay Z would still have been a legend with 4 classic albums. soudtracks and notoriety by two of hip hops biggest legends. And by many regarded the King Of New York by 1999. This story is always so exaggerated and no one ever questions this.

Noticed that too, joe mostly had his head down leaning forward like yes tell me more Jamie, but lets face it Jamie is cool as fuck so it would be hard to upstage him

joe momma Jamie is good at telling stories. The interview of him on hot 97 is awesome. (If you haven't yet check it out.)

Literally the opposite of how Joe was in the Les Stroud interview.
@megamixa6 жыл бұрын
A few people have done that. He only shuts up for long periods of time if the person he's talking to is someone he actually likes and wants to listen to, or is a good story teller. Like when they were discussing ancient egypt. Joe might have talked for 10 minutes total in that like 3 hour interview.
@nothanks10776 жыл бұрын
one second longer though and Joe gonna shake and foam at the mouth "YOU KNOW THAT'S THE THING ABOUT PEOPLE THERE'S ALWAYS PEOPLE WHO ARE LOOKING TO GET AN EDGE ON YOU IN LIFE, JUST GROSS, YOU KNOW THEY PROBABLY HAD SOME FUCKED UP CHILDHOOD OR SOMETHIN AND THEY'RE OUT TO GET YOU AND THAT'S WHY I SMOKE WEED AND SELL KETTLE BELLS"

People say Jamie fox dropping names but then when your famous you have famous friends as well as associates. He's just telling you stories of his experiences. Nothing showy , he's just real cool about it. There's a difference when someone is being all ego about his business but this was a great podcast! I've always loved Jamie 👍
@Eratiik6 жыл бұрын
EXACTLY FUCKEN THIS. People say he keeps name dropping but he actually KNOWS these people. It's not name dropping Smh... he had a good interview with snoop too! Some good stories about back in the day when he lived with some baby sat for some lady coz he needed a place to stay etc. and when he was coming up and how he watched snoop rise when he was younger and then how snoop, puffy etc were at his parties along with actors etc. he's a likeable dude. Positive, funny, good energy and stories, he drops gems on the low at certain times.

Jamie Fox is a different breed. He makes you respect him. What he did with family, very few people could do that, rich or not. I honestly cannot believe how much I enjoyed listening to him. He is articulate in a different way.
