I agree with all of you. I had (had being the key word) personal experience with this in NYC in the late 80s. I had full protection with my deliveries for my "family" , I never had a problem. It was only when my dumb ass went home to NJ that I ran into a small town where I had no protection and because of my personal greed I got popped and did 5 years (for weed) in the NJ prison system in the early 90s. Such is life now it's legal bit the things I got away with in those days with protection from dirty cops was amazing. Silk Road was the best thing that a responsible drug addict could have wished for. Amazing quality drugs (with ratings from the users), great variety, bulk prices, promos and everything neatly delivered to your door without having to go through the hoops of the usual ''street'' black market that's chock full of scammers, ignorants and unpredictable heavy drug users. I lost 4BTC on that day when the Silk Road 2.0 was shut down by the feds because I was just about to re-order. I was so pissed at that time because I was in a bad place financially and $400 was a big deal for me. Now that's worth more than $200K and the feds probably use my coins (and the other 20K BTC they seized on that day) to cycle money in the darknet in order to bust more people and also finance their operations. I'm so fucking disgusted that I hardly ever think about it. If there was one way to make buying/selling/using drugs safe, that was it. If maybe they were to stop the war on drugs, we would at last have a stable market where responsible people could make honest money selling good products to savvy buyers, but no. Just no.

It's giving you less punishment than you "deserve", for exchange of information that overall, is intended at least, to bring the most justice possible. The Feds always give you more time if you go trial because they have a guideline system. If you plead guilty you get at least 3 points removed from your sentencing level, and then of course they usually drop charges and you plead to only 1 or sometimes 2 of the actual indictments. Also, with his case, going to trial his sentencing guideline will have enhancements or increases because of the severity of the charges. That’s why there is a big discrepancy in the pleading guilty for 10 years vs the 2 life sentences + 40. I served 127 months in Federal prison. The Feds don’t have parole, so life is life.

It should be illegal to hand out life sentences where physical harm wasn’t done to another human being.

So what are the drugs doing to all the people physically that Ross allows to flow thru his system? Lmfao... killing people , dude changed how drugs are distributed and sold... he had so much blood on his hands , use some sense

That's not how it works. 10 to Life doesn't mean the judge chooses a sentence between 10 years and life, it means you are sentenced to confinement for no less than 10 years, no longer than life. The Prison administration would set periodic reviews by a committee (i.e. Parole Board) and they would determine when between that range you got out. So "10 to life" IS the sentence, not "the judge would choose a sentence between 10 and life" now it is possible that ross was concerned the judge would not accept his plea deal, and as I know nothing about this specific case that could be, but what you initially said is just some internet nonsense.

The plea deal makes perfect since to me, if he accepts the 10 years then they know they have him under control, if they don’t think they can control him he’s dies in jail. All a control system
