Күн бұрын

The first-ever phone call interview by Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht, recorded while in a federal penitentiary. Following its original airing in June of 2021, Ross was placed in solitary confinement as retribution.
Ross shares the heartbreaking story of his fight for freedom, his connection with Bitcoin, and what it was like to grapple with the prospect of being locked up for the rest of his life.
Re-released from the archives now that Ross is FINALLY a free man. Congratulations, Ross.

Never did I think this man would ever get released. All the positivity around this mans pardon is astounding I couldn’t imagine the amount of despair he felt during those 11 years can’t wait to hear his side of the story from being 3x lifer to suddenly a free man

I thank god and thank President trump for what he has done… the case against the man VIOLATED his rights and ability to defend his own case! The weaponized justice system FAILED to give him the means at which they even obtained entry into server… so many TOTAL BS scenarios invaded his case and it was truly a sickening day for our country when this man was found guilty and sentenced OUTRAGEOUSLY to basically die in jail slowly…. But now he’s free…JUSTICE has truly prevailed

Thanks for sharing this. I remember Silk Road, it’s what started the whole bitcoin journey for me. I had an account just to see. I’m so glad Ross is now free. When he said he broke his mother’s heart, really hit hard. He’s a nice lad. He’s smart young and was naive. Made a mistake. Learnt a big lesson. Sentence was unfair and it kinda broke him. Hopefully he’s with his family now and his mother’s prayers have been answered.

It’s a fact this ROSS Kid who Created The Silk Road is a HUGE reason why Bitcoin is what it is
@dahawk8574
@dahawk8574 10 күн бұрын
It is THE reason. And he apologizes for possibly setting it back. THIS is also the reason why the Feds slammed him so hard. Laws protect the person who makes and owns the platform from what is done with that platform by others. He got treated worse than El Chapo... because Ross created the system that threatened all the banksters. Ross legitimized Bitcoin. That was his one and only crime.

what do you think should happen to ppl whom give terrorist orgs and inlet to gain funds to promote their terror attacks on people? do you think he's a lil next door dealer? bro had more than 1.2 billion usd go thru his website in only 2 years time!! (its international cartels and terror groups ect selling on the site /not the sketchy drug dealer selling half grams on your street ) , Pablo Escobar to be killed for his actions. but since ross is white and non Muslim , he gets different treatment? crazy how everyone just goes with the main stream flow of ''this poor guy got treated bad for doing bad''(bro should die in jail ) can yall not form your own opinions based on his true actions and not based on what side of the spectrum you hear the most from on the media. if all you heard was ''this guy is bad'' you'd prob have a different opinion currently , but since all you hear on the media is about how unfairly he is being treated while purposely not stating the repercussions of his actions , you now mindlessly think a major drug dealing terrorist funding lil bro should be treated soo harsh (but screw el chopp'o right?)

@@Corteum he has always taken accountability for what he did. He admitted to building The Silk Road website. That’s all he did.. he didn’t sell drugs, he wasn’t charged for putting out a “hit” as there was ZERO evidence. Should the CEO of Meta or Amazon be held accountable for the people selling drugs through their services? Amazon Web Service has hosted hundreds of thousands of transactions. Why hold Ross accountable and not them? Ross admits what he did. They took it 20 steps further to make him an example. He simply built a website.

The reason why he never should have been in jail is simple.. If he should be there, so should EVERY creator of a platform because every platform can and will be (ab)used by criminals.. facebook, twitter, youtube, ebay, telegram, amazon, all of them are used by both nice and bad people. To hold someone accountable for what somebody else is doing is mind blowing, but in this world it is a reality for some people and not for other people..
