If anyone else had to be with Gonzales I would have wanted to see Bret or Perfect, Bam Bam or Owen. Bret could carry a bag of sandwiches to a five star classic and Perfect, Owen and Bam Bam were excellent tacticians that could have covered for Gonzales' shortcomings with their own skill and ring psychology.

I wish my old partner Darkside had lived to see this interview (he died in 2018.) His favorite wrestler was the Undertaker. I cannot even begin to count how many times I took tombstones, chokeslams, Last Rides. Probably 90% of the Undertaker’s moveset. I was a Shawn Michaels/Hardy Boyz guy. I actually accidentally hit Darkside with a full blast superkick straight in the solar plexus. Even though he was 6’3”, 260 lbs and I was 5’10”, 130 lbs (this is not joking) I caused him breathing problems for three months. Just that one kick. I had to retire after botching the F-5 back in August of 2003.
