Shawn Ryan doesn’t like hearing Himself talk, which is why he’s so successful. He really just lets the guest talk. Best interviewer.
@Im_Not_A_DadАй бұрын
I was thinking about this. Shawn Ryan does interviews really well, sometimes those interviews end up being conversations. Joe Rogan has conversations and sometimes they feel like interviews. But Shawn often plants the question and steps back because he’s a humble, listening guy. Joe riffs with someone because he’s a comedian and a guy that just likes talking to/with people. I dig it both.

Yeah, I noticed, his timing is perfect in knowing when to talk, when to listen. I didnt know who he was until this podcast. However, Joe has the edge, as he can be funny, but as an interviewer, he sometimes lets that Italian temper get the better of him when he senses bullshit - which is bad mannered if you read "How to win friends and influence people". However, maybe thats part of the entertainment.

Hello. I was hired to work the elections in Lubbock Texas. I was in the last class and finishing up my training, this particular class was the curbside and provisional votes class. An elderly man in front of me raised his hand and asked about illegals.(That's how he said it) And the teacher Christine shut him down. She was visibly upset at the questions and told the class she wasn't going to dignify that question with an answer or even a discussion. She did not want to talk about it again. The man was taken aback, as was I. About 30 minutes later she asked where there any questions. I raised my hand. I said Im not trying to be offensive ( I thought maybe it was his use of language) and asked What to do if undocumented visitors...she immediately cut me off. She was visibly angrier. She said she gets that question in every class and she was sick of it. I was stunned. I started to say they get identification and she said if I wanted to discuss it I could go out in the hallway and discuss it there. I didn't respond. After break I asked her how do I make a complaint. She said (loudly in front of everyone) to get my things we were going in the hallway.) She said that they don't have driver's license they are UNDOCUMENTED. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT UNDOCUMENTED MEANS? I said she didn't have to be rude and embarrassed me in front of the class. Then I went to the hallway. They trained 300 people and told us we cannot turn ANYONE AWAY who wants to vote. She refused to discuss immigrant voter verification at all. I talked to Roxinne Stinson. She took me from the hallway and asked if I wanted to email her or go in her office. I said in her office. At this point I'm crying. I told her what happened and that I saw on the news they get driver license and ids. I told her Christine said they ask every single class. Roxine said that our asking every class makes them feel like we are accusing them of cheating.?? I just sat there again stunned. I told her it's all over the news. It's why I was wanting to work the polls. To make sure we have a fair and free election. They were regular innocent serious questions. Of course we are going to ask. She handed me a print out she said she got yesterday about limited terms driver's license. She said herself and the teachers DIDNT KNOW. HOW DO THEY NOT KNOW. NOOWW i feel like they are cheating. If they trained 300 of us to take every license that pops up and we have to let everyone who wants to vote, vote WTH. I asked to go back to class and she said yes. I finished the class everything was fine. The next morning I got a call that they no longer required my help. This is a problem. I'm emailing everyone calling everyone I can. Making a KZbin video and Instagram I wrote down names of other people in the class to verify my story This happened on October 9 2024. Even if it's a provisional I have no faith at all that the election board in Lubbock Texas will take them out. Show quoted text

Hey Amanda! Please. When you took the class why didn’t they explain the registration rolls? Registration is half of your vote. When you register you provide all of your information to become eligible, like citizenship, identification, address, and social security number. Remember that. When you go to vote, they only need you name to match you up with your registration. There is only you who can match your registration. If you understand this, it mutes and dismisses every conspiracy concern that the uninformed can make up, like ballot dumping and undocumented voting. Please.

I’d watched Shawn’s channel years ago, every now and then, with videos posted about a Glock or m4 setup; gun stuff from a gun dude; and the real deal too, not just an enthusiast but a bred and bled genuine article. It wasn’t until 2019, Memorial Day, that he posted a video I hadn’t expected. That video helped me see a point of view and organize my own feelings in such a way that really just caught me off guard. It helped me explain part of myself to my wife, and changed my philosophy quite literally for the rest of my life. And then not all that long after, he posted another video about just being decent; even when given every opportunity and reason not to be. And again, not long after that, he shared his own experiences with anxiety and feelings that can get out of control and difficult to manage (feelings that felt like dirty words that admitted weakness and uncertainty). And it didn’t feel gradual to me. It felt immediate. This guy had been just another part of my entertainment, and then immediately became part of my real-world perspective, and even went on to help me understand things I was struggling with that most people; even my wife; didn’t even know the depth of. Now, and I do mean this; particularly because of his videos and the conversations he has with his own wife, I have better conversations with mine. We’re closer partners and she understands more of what makes me, which helped me understand her in return. I guess the whole point of this comment is to just tell anybody reading that if they have a favorite podcast or a favorite talk show host that’s helped them figure things out or maybe even just decompress and move past some things they have to deal with, whether distinct to their routine or even right in the monotony of it; share them with others. Hell, even tell them! I told Shawn his much he was helping me, through some random comment on more than one occasion and well before his show hit the big leagues it’s in now, the man himself responded and more than once, and just went on to prove he really was the genuine guy you see. This guy did more for me and the guys that stuck with me than over a decade of service and one week of ETS had ever done; just by being himself and letting others like him do the same in his company. And I know I’m late to the party here, but thanks for having him on.

@Americas_Last_Patriots. Google has been heavily censored for years politics and news are the most bias... it promotes far left news over everything and most don't go past page 1 of search lol. The company leans left obviously but even stuff progressives would support are censored. Say harm reduction for drug users, any question how long do you drink before you get dependent, how to make opiate withdrawal easier, is kratom safe. Anything related to that is filled with advertisements for rehab services, government websites and other corporate entities no user content. If you search up news articles on bing or harm reduction you'll get way more variety and user created websites. That's just what I noticed dramatically, any Google search of any topic always promotes MSM government websites over regular people's content. Bing is still seen as a meme but I promise for how bad Microsoft is the engine is less manipulated

Because Joe is completely full of himself, has nothing but yes men around and has lost all touch with his audience or regular people. Every "interview" is turning into Joe talking his main talking points over and over without letting the guest talk much.

@@gps9715 it’s his podcast he can do as he pleases with his podcast. Also he has millions and you obviously don’t cuz you’re commenting on KZbin while he’s making the podcasts you comment on lol

Shawn Ryan is 100x more substance than Joe and so is his pod. Highly recommend him especially his recent episode with Scott Mann.
