Burned into my head is Legacy of Kain soul reaver dude narrating the intro, so very glad it's getting a remaster, coz I miss this game heaps and would love to play it again on my modern consoles and the switch, awesome to hear you talk heaps on this game

The game also returns one of the secret characters, drizzt from the previous game and adds a new one into the fold which further increases replayability. I really like the game but playing coop is mandatory, using some powers to help out your friend feels so much more satisfying.

I loved this game and am looking forward to this years remaster release. On “the monster that permanently steals your gear”, welcome to the bane of the Rust Monster and why it was one of the most feared monsters in the original AD&D game rules.

dark alliance have been one of my favorites for years now. local coop was a blast. as soon as drops fell we would try to get it first. they are mechanical wise not the greatest but a great example that you don't need all that fancy stuff to make a good game. we played it over and over. i would put them on the same rank as the original battlefront series. whoever hasnt played them yet, I can only recommend. even better grab a friend and play. i never see local coop anymore. the social aspect of it made a change. it is just not the same as some online id of a unknown player. having the reaction right next to you and sharing it with friends made a good game even better.

My biggest issue with Dark Alliance 2 was that in 2 years of play, I could never find any flawless plate armor…. Solid game 👍🏼

Sorry to be over a year late, but in extreme mode it's possible to find a flawless plate armour pieces, though they're extremely rare and only drop in the onyx tower from my experience.

I loved both Baldurs gate Dark Alliance 1 and 2. I've beat both several times over the years. I prefer the original Xbox version over the PS2 versions as the graphics and performance are better on Xbox. The necromancer was my favorite Character to play as. great review my friend.

I need to try this game. Ive only played that recent Dungeons and Dragons Dark Alliance game, which was very mediocre. This Baldur's Gate one looks more interesting.

@@joethealternativegamer3935 Sorry i didn't mean these older ones. I meant the new D&D Dark Alliance that released on current gen consoles last month. Its not a top down dungeon crawler like Baldur's Gate but more third person over the shoulder action title. It doesn't have a good loot system and leveling up is underwhelming. Gameplay wasn't fun either. I played it on game pass.

First game is decent but the second one is absolutely better. Has some issues, some cheats as well but a very good addition. And the extreme mode is absolutely amazing

I remember this game VERY Well... one of my Childhood Friends had both BG:DA and BG:DA2 we Conquered both.. so many hours of fun and anger... so many memories...

I really loved this game, I finished it so many times. One of the best games in which you can play a necromancer. I am one of the only people who loves Brotherhood of steel too. I played these both games so much I still remember almost everything about them 18 years later.

Had this one as a kid and after like 19 years finally played the original (not sure why it took me so long!) and preffered the original! Also, champions (both games) are great along with D&D Heroes! Great vid as always!

What I appreciated most about this game personally is that every class got a unique look for its armors.loved it back in the days. The Dev who put this at the table is a personal hero for me, aside of the one who brought the dwarf with a real Dwarven beard. Btw, for the basilisk part, if you Simply could get your stuff back why avoid such enemy's in first place. I think that's a real ig concequence modern games rarely use. And like you said, you can reload. So id say it isn't a bad part in the game. Im with you on the last levels, as far as i remember champions of norrath had a similar prob, but im not quite sure there. Preferred the 2 bg titles

I enjoyed this when they came out. Still holds up today. Played it co-op with my wife. Would love to see these rebuilt for modern consoles/PCs but add all the console functionality innovated by Diablo 3 (which has pitch perfect controls for a console ARPG).

I still have my original copy on Xbox but... they never made it backwards compatible. I miss this game. I used to mix frost fire and a rune stone into my weapons or glove as the monk and it would burn enemies with blue fire cause burning and frost damage. Sooo great

Did you know once you reach baldur's gate before you talk to Randall you can talk to the guard captain and he will give you a quest to go into the sewers and kill all the monsters. I believe you can't do it once you get the first quest from randalla. you could do this with all the characters.

After dungeons and dragons dark alliance flopped they now rereleased Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 1 and 2, so maybe a third one is in planning since they seem to know there is a demand from disappointed dungeons and dragons dark alliance players.

Great video man, I hope you gain more traction and audience on youtube you deserve it. Only thing I would say to make the videos better maybe pick up the pace, a bit quicker, possibly some loud and random funny memes here and there if you're not only informational with you videos. My advice is just to focus a bit more on the entertainment value. Love this game playing it again today om my ps2.

There are some very similar games after this in ps 2 one was The bard if i remember correctly and another one was like a sci fi version of this i dont remember the name if someone could help with that. The gameplay was similar but they didnt have the depth of BG. Thats the 20 year lost memories in my head :P

1 is solid for the whole game. Well done arpg. 2 plays the same with good enhancements! Solid sequel with some lackluster final levels. I honestly do not have a strong preference. Both are really good! Champions is Underrated as well! Sad that Sony never brought it back

Towards the end of the game you also have to collect relics of earth, wind, water and fire. Gee, an epic RPG where you gotta collect four treasures of the elements. I never heard that one before... (Obligatory ProJared reference)
