The forgotten legacy of the G35 is eclipsed by its modern reputation. If the GTR variant stuck with the V35 chassis we would've technically had a Skyline GTR without the names being seperate.

This is pretty dope. I have had a 350Z as a drift car for a while and used a G35 as my daily. Now my 350Z is a track car and the G35 is going to be the drifter. It just feels more predictable in the transition from one direction to another.

When I saw the 1st one it was maybe 2002 and saw a black coupe on the freeway at night. It was Badass looked like nothing I’ve never seen before and fell in love with it. In late 2004 I bought a Blue 2003 sedan with the Aero kit which was nice. My payments back then were $420 but I had to have it. I eventually got rid of it but last year I picked up a Black 2003 coupe with Brembos and stock Forged wheels. Still a Classic design

My first car I bought on my own was an 05 G35x, back in 2015 as a 19 year old. I had always saw the coupes and wanted one but was blown away with the fact that a 4 door was that much fun. Later on got another sedan RWD and lost it after about 2 years or so. Fast forward to now I have another one, 05 sedan 6mt. This one I’ll never get rid of haha

If you don’t have kids you gotta try out a coupe. The sedan is nice but the coupe feels like a proper sports car. I have owned a Porsche 964 and Cayman, Camaro, Mk4 Supra, BRZ, and a 370Z (which I sold to buy the G35). My built Rev-Up 05 G35 is more fun than any of them. 400hp at the wheels on E85, and right at 3000lbs with me in it. The only reason the 964 wasn’t more fun is because it just feels REALLY dangerous; you might turn the wheel 60-90 degrees extra while going around a smooth bend just to maintain course.

I love my 08 G35X! I live in Canada and the awd is amazing to have in the winter. I lowered it with BC racing coils and got some OEM 20" R35 GTR wheels for summer and they look pretty sick on the car.

I have a 2007 G35S 6MT as a daily drive with 260k on the odometer and working as a swiss watch. A little rust here and there because despite of oiling it underneath every year, this is snowy Canada. It performs predictably on snow if you feather the right pedal. It is a loaded car made with fantastic long lasting materials, nice leather seats with heater, and lumbar and side adjustments. The only big fix was the gas pump gasket at the gas tank that you should not replace with aftermarket gaskets. I think that there will not be a car that well made for a long time.

@@ashar1353 mine has 270k km now but someone at the dealership said that his father had had one that reached 500k km in the odometer. It is just a matter of keeping them well maintained, on-time oil changing and driving them on their ideal rpm range.

My 1st 05 G35 coupe manual was in 09 My 2nd 2011 auto was a G37 coupe IPL in 2018 My 3rd was in 2021 another 05 G35 coupe auto And now in 2023 an 04 auto G35 coupe Deep love for these cars but the coupes Hopefully a GTR soon

You have vlsd, one way to triple check though, lift both back tires from the ground, then put car in neutral, spin one of the wheels and if the other one spins the same way, you have vlsd, if it spins opposite it’s a open diff!

I don’t know if the transmission of the Skyline 370GT Coupe (G37) is originally Nissan because my car has 243,000 km on the clock and I’ve beaten the crap out of this car since 54,000km on the clock and not once had an issue with the transmission, even the bloody engine lol

I could see that argument but one thing to note, sedans used regular gas and coupes used premium, possibly different performance tunes because of that aswell, but I don’t have any other insight on that haha

@@JoeVazquez Honestly i cant blame you if you didn't know everything about the sedan, the sedan guys who are really into them could tell you all about weight differences, the 05-06 refresh, The 04.5 headlights, the doggy door 03 with a maxima ecu that you couldn't tune the same I could go on lol. There actually are a lot of differences between both that are minute, the coupe will always be the better looking car, but a sedan done right is something to appreciate, If you are bored look up some black 03 to 06 sedans with the 18 in non rays that nissan made for oem. With the aero kit on. 😬

If it helps, you also have a cd009, and if you have orange stiching on your steering wheel you have the sports package and if you have this motor looking thing on your diff on the right side, thats your Rear active steering. I have the exact same thing lmaoo

@@pablovq Thanks. The orange stitching is subtle so I really never noticed. But I do have it. I knew I had the rear steer from the original sales sticker being in the glove box. I hate it. Nothing like jumping on the throttle while turning and the rear feels like its coming around. I've never looked up how to disable it.
