I think it’s because the longer hair became part of Joey’s “character design” being that he’s in the entertainment world. It’s like when people get mad about the live action design of a comic book character. I’m personally not bothered by the hair change, but it definitely caught me off guard the first time I saw him cut it, however long ago that was.

I made a video best hair products and I tested all the best mens hair products....I dunno if you want to see that but all guys should be using like a matte clay product instead of gel or wax. Matte clay gives the best hold and most natural look. And if you wanna know what's the best then you can check that vid I made

@@luxeayt6694 Maybe back when Joey weighed a few less pounds it would look good, but I don't think his more rounded head shape really suits this hairstyle, it feels like something for a more angular/long face. It's one of those situations where it's a decent cut with a clear amount of effort in it, but it's on the wrong guy, in my opinion. Maybe if he had more on the sides and lost the parting of it to the side, it would look better.

Yeah that was my initial thought too. It’s not so much about people not being used to the change from long to short hair. It’s more about it just being a generally unflattering haircut. There’s lots of shorter haircuts that would suit Joey’s face shape better.

I wear my hair long, mostly due to keeping my head warm in the winter. It's a bitch to wash, cause it's at the mid-point of my shoulders, the longest I've ever worn it. I use a brush for my hair b/c of its length, and it's also a bitch to brush. nowadays I prefer to keep my hair long, but I pull it back when either when it's hot out, or if I'm on the job.
