He eventually crossed the line _for me._ He went too far and it was no longer funny. *But* I wouldn't prevent him from doing his set. It's just not funny _to me,_ given what my fiancé experienced growing up and in her first marriage. I keep an eye out for things that might be upsetting. But would *never* blame the comedian. That would be like blaming the sharks if they bit off my leg, after I was told I was about to go swimming in _shark-infested waters._ How is it the sharks fault? It isn't. The Sharks were doing what they do. Just as comedians do what they do. If you don't find something a comedian says is funny, _you simply don't laugh._ If you know it's going to be a problematic show, _you just don't go._ Or if you discovered it later, _you leave._ You don't try and take their livelihood from them when *you're the one with the problem.* I'll get off my soapbox now. 😏

From reading your comment i can tell you got your head screwed on the right way and i think its great that you take such great care for your fiancee and take her past experiences into consideration, and the fact that you think that it's no reason to cancel someone just cause that person didn't hit your personal flavour of comedy is really nice.... nevertheless i hope you agree with me that a thicker skin especially in our modern times isn't too much to ask from 1st world people (sorry for bad english)
