Huge Sopranos fan here, many saints of Newark didn't disappoint me, the actors are different but they all did a good job and the plot is good too with many unexpected moments. Captured the spirit of the series pretty well IMO.

@@misterdog7 yeah it was decent I think people didn't like the racial aspect and the lack of a bunch of crazy shit happening. It's a Sopranos movie, the pace was always gonna be slow. Did a good job of bringing down the characters Tony put on a pedestal. Hammered home the idea of the pointless cycle that Sopranos so famously showed. People wanted it to be the Sopranos Godfather but Sopranos was always supposed to be an anti-Godfather in my opinion. Not a perfect movie or perhaps necessary to the Sopranos canon but I liked it

I remember watching this and laughing when it came out. I was still just a kid and couldn't appreciate it. I started watching the Sopranos for the first time a couple weeks ago, and goddamn, this is spot on. Makes it that much funnier, especially since this randomly popped up on my algorithm.

This sketch is perfect! Except Meadow wouldn’t talk to Tony like that, and Tony wouldn’t have the boys over to his house that casually- only special events.
