@ChadHuey79
@ChadHuey79 4 жыл бұрын
Silencers/suppressors are literally the exact same technology as a car muffler. It's a round metal tube with baffles on the inside that trap the expanding gases and slow them down and it slightly muffles the sound. If you're using subsonic ammunition, it will be alittle quiter yet because the bullet is not breaking the sound barrier but it's still louder than you think. If you're using supersonic ammunition which is most ammo, the bullet is traveling so fast it's still breaking the sound barrier and you will get a loud booming and cracking bullet noise even with a suppressor. The initial report will be muffled alittle bit which is nice for the shooter but down range it is still gonna have that loud cracking bullet noise. That is the bullet breaking the sound barrier and its still very loud. Suppressors/silencers are cool and nice but not as cool as the movies portray them and they should not be as regulated by the government as much as they are.
@TruthAndReconciliation
@TruthAndReconciliation 4 жыл бұрын
recoil53 this really isn’t true. I live in hunting country. Rifles, shotguns, handguns, etc. all have different volume levels. Hell even between two rifles, a .22lr is quiter than a .223, or a .22lr is much louder out of a pistol than a rifle. How much that’d matter in a city setting? Not sure. But they are certainly not the same volume.
