Incredible neat work. I’ve been studying gun spinning for about half a year now and you Sir, are the best source of inspiration and knowledge for me so far. Hat off.

Now, I know where Buster Scruggs moves come from. You have such control, its a shame that it is so hard to make a living out of that kind of skill. Keep it up dude, looking forward to learn some of those ! Btw, what kind of gun/ammo combination do you use here ? Toy gun ?
@FilmArmorerJoeyDillon3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I have been blessed to use these skills to get into work as a film armorer / props and stay pretty busy. I am using a real gun here. 1873 Model Colt. I think it is either a Taylor's and Co., or a Cimarron. (Colt clone.) .45 caliber. I'm using blanks, with "777" black powder substitute.

@@FilmArmorerJoeyDillon Thanks for the answer ! To be fair, I first saw about you in my YT recommandations (shot show gun tricks) and googled you (saw your IMDB page) There is one move that makes it obvious that you were the one behind Scrugg's trick, it is the one shot behind the back as seen in the movie (When he asks for Whiskey). I guess you were the one doing the tricks and they post edited it ?

I trained Tim. He did that and most moves himself. The only ones he didn’t do were the quick draw in cantina and then the holster and pat after the draw. (The film shot of the behind) that was me doubling.
@FilmArmorerJoeyDillon3 жыл бұрын
You’ll find that behind the back move in “The Harder They Fall” western on Netflix. I trained that as well. Good students of the gun!

Hollywood movies mostly use real guns that were converted to fire blank. These old guns don't really need such conversion because of how they function.

Well, clearly more work needed. My 2 year old can sling guns better than that, and I don't even have a 2 year old. In fact, my previous statement is in fact completely wrong and makes no sense. Who has gun slinging 2 year olds? If anything, you make it look *too* easy.

This guy is incredibly irresponsible for shooting his gun indoors like that. I hope someone called the cops. This day and age? Pshhh...Gun control laws are enforced for a reason.
