I actually felt like this dance was so Joey. He always says he’s feels like just a normal guy and says he’s not really a star for dancing with the stars, this dance highlights how normal and down to earth he is, a big part of why so many people like him.

Unpopular opinion, but I agree with Carrianne. Maybe her delivery wasn’t the best but I feel like this dance did not show off all of Joey’s capabilities and skills he learned throughout the season. it looked too easy for him and I think that’s why Carrie ann made the comment she made cause she knows that he can do way more than that. Like why was there a whole bit from 0:55-1:05 just showcasing Jenna while Joey stood in the back??

First off, the pros should have a moment to shine on their own bc this is their choreo and second Joey stood back in preparation for that tricky stunt which takes distance to run and jump over... and probably rehearsed well enough so no one got injured (kicked in the face, etc).

This freestyle helps me see why they won. Compared to all of the other ones, including Elena, which I voted for, he actually danced. And he danced as much as the other dancers. He did not rely on theatrics and stunts like Danny, and although I loved Ilona’s performance, her body does not move as much as the rest of the dancers so it’s easier to tell who’s the pro and who’s not. But for Joey, he is doing the exact same moves in the exact same caliber as the backup dancers, which shows that he can actually dance! And the show is called dancing with the stars and not “Performing with the Stars.” he showed that he can both dance and perform! And he did it both very flawlessly! I think this was a solid finale dance.

She is fantastic, but be so fr, you’re comparing a young lady with a lot of experience to a guy in his 30s who, just a year ago, couldn’t dance at all. Joey grew immensely during this competition, even incorporating elements like the rackets into his freestyle. Moreover, the commentary doesn’t put anyone in a negative light; rather, it’s an argument explaining why Joey is a deserving winner.

I loved it! It felt innovative to me with the sections with the lit up rackets and stuff. I don't think Jenna's your typical choreographer. She likes to bring unique elements in (case in point: the quirkiness of the Halloween tango, the body drumming in the samba, etc.). Maybe her preferences aren't for everyone but I can definitely appreciate her creativity, talent and how much she pushed Joey on ALL of the dances. No wonder they won. The guy grew so much as a dancer. Well deserved win!

Here’s the thing. Joey has never danced and learned EVERYTHING from Jenna within a very short time. I thought this was the point of the show, to take someone with no dancing experience and teach them. But Chandler Kinney, not knocking her, but she has had dance experience and was absolutely perfection. She was like a pro, and is a pro as she is in entertainment. Joey is not. There are lots that Dancing with the Stars have on that have had dancing experience and it is really not fair to the ones who have not, so I am so thrilled that Joey won. He definitely deserved it as Stephen, Ilona, and Danny would have also as they had no dance experience either and learned with exceptional speed. I think they are better than Chandler because they all started from zero. Nothing to take away from Chandler at all though. She was pro-like. An absolutely beautiful young woman and a terrific dancer. Cudos to her and all of the finalists. It I just hope they keep the dance experienced “stars” off the show and start ones from zero experience, like the show originally intended. If I am wrong, let me know. But this is what I thought was the reason and purpose of the show and all the pros, to see how they could turn non-dancers into fairly respectable dancers.

I am going to say the most unpopular thing. You can see my early days going really hard for these two but for the finals and freestyle this was nothing spectacular. This is just my take, Joey peaked on metal week (the best dance of that genre I have seen on this show ever) but this was not in any way a show stopper and the racket movements were out of sync. Not my favorite. Sorry not sorry.

No way this dance deserved 10's. It was slow and erratic. Derek is biased with Jenna. He announced a month ago Val and Jenna were joining his group. How the heck is that fair judging. Carrie Ann was right it did not look right. But we know the rig was in for Jenna And The 1st Bachelor win. Please tell me how going with 20 people at once makes you a star? If They did that off the show we all know what people would call him. Give me a break, wanting a women does not make you a star. And of course they know they will be on DWTS so they can prepare way ahead of time. The other contestants play catch up. Except for Chandler who danced since she was young. Wasn't this show supposed to be about the most improved. Now that Val and Jenna have both won the Len Goodman ball hopefully the judges will go back to judging fairly.

We will not be watching Dancing with the Stars anymore for the best dancer (according to the Judges) did not even make the top two. And I think some of the public voters are racist and voted the female rugby player as the second best dancer, which is a joke. The actual winner was second best dancer in our opinion. Sure but…. 5 ppl got to dance each week. 13 people start 12 “go home”. If you look at the odds … it’s more likely you go home/don’t advance rather than win so dancing through till the end is “winning”. I think it’s sad that it’s a competition to the degree that ppl hate on who actually wins and if their favorite doesn’t win. It’s just entertainment. If it were true technical ballroom competitions they would all get 4’s all the time. Each week it’s about taking a song and dance style and making something entertaining. The finale is either the same or focused on the celebrity. They are all worthy of being celebrated.

It’s a combination of things and I think the more you have dance experience the less likely you are to be voted on. If you have a gimmick that gives you a theme that makes you more relatable then you get more votes - I’m thinking of rumor Willis… she cried and cried every week about being the outsider, ppl called her ugly. Please, she was a rich girl from an industry family - winning dwts wasn’t going to be life changing but that’s how she resonated with the voting viewers.

The company obviously wanted their first bachelor winner of DWTS. And now they can say they have one! Hah. Joey's not a bad dancer, but just extremely boring to watch. Too predictable and nothing dynamic at all. I love dance and tennis both, but this routine was just a snooze fest. Didn't highlight Joey enough and his skills, but rather focused on her partner so that she could ensure a spot in the upcoming season. Tried to incorporate light up racquets for "cool factor" But they should have seriously practiced more, as they were out of sync and it was not lined up perfectly. Dance was a little sloppy and needs some cleaning up.
