The dogs of war caused 2 things to happen. 1. The league has to change the 5 metre rule. 2. 20 metre restart catching the ball in goal. Thanks to Turvey putting up bombs over and over for Glen Burgess in the 85 GF.

I attributed much of the Knights 2001 premiership win with Warran Ryan. Even though he was replaced with Michael Hagan that year. I feel the Knights in 2000 was at their peak until that famous intercept to Fittler which i loved them touching on here. They were amazing to watch that year, best attacking in the comp at the time. Warren had done a lot of the hard work by then.

Block plays started by David Waite’s Knights of 1992. Michael Hagan. Matt Rodwell. Wok’s Wests teams were also running them too with Jimmy Dymock or Jason Lidden at 6.
