Your makes are beautiful and I enjoyed seeing the new yarns you got. Sometimes those memories make us cry and other times they make us smile; but we aren't lucky to have such wonderful things to remember.

Thank you Judy! Whenever I teach someone to knit or crochet, my best advice is to be patient and stick with it. It feels so good and satisfying to complete a project. 😊

Hello Lynda! I’m also an accessory knitter for the same reasons and it’s always nice to have something on hand for gift giving!

Congrats on the gloves, they look great. As far as yarn identification, if you have it, great. But if you don’t I won’t lose any sleep over it. 😁 Love the wizard story. ❤️

Hi Victoria :) Thank you. Yeah, the wizard routine was secret stuff between Ross and Howie. I was pretty impressed with that trick when they pulled it on me. :)

Thank you for another lovely video and for sharing your memories. I am sorry for your loss. I look forward to your videos as you are wonderful company and complete beautiful projects! The identification of the yarns doesn't matter to me. The weight of the yarn and yardage is helpful but not a big deal if you don't have that information. I enjoyed the footage of the yarn festival. I'm looking forward to seeing your new kitchen. Have a wonderful day.

Hello Patricia, Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoy the podcast. When I watch other knitting podcasts, I do like to hear about yarns that I have not ever tried before. You take care now :)

Hi Lynda. Your gloves are lovely! You know, heartbreak is inevitable when you allow yourself to love, but those memories help sometimes to take the sting away. I’d like to think Ross and his friend are sharing some laughs together now. Take care. 🥰

Hello Sally, thank you for your kind and thoughtful response. Right now memories of Ross are a jumble of recent sad ones mixed in with lovely beautiful ones. I guess in a way it’s sort of a reflection of life.

Hello Lynda! Glad to see you back again. The gloves look great. I am going to have try making a pair. I usually make fingerless mitts. The Stephen West scarf looks like the perfect size as the weather cools down. For your gradient kit there is a lovely shawl I have made a few times called “My Friend Nancy” by Rose Williams. It is a free pattern on Ravelry. It looks great in a gradient, a speckled or a tonal. Really any yarn will look good in this pattern. You can make it as big as you want. Look forward to your next podcast.

Thank you so much. And thank you for your pattern recommendation. I will for sure look it up. I have to ask this, it may seem like a silly question, but which sister is commenting here? I'd like to address you by name, :) Thank you so much for coming back to watch. I used to enjoy your podcasts too.

Yes, I like to know what yarn you used. If I find it very interesting.

Hello Linda. I understand how you would want to know which yarn a knitter is using. I'm always looking out for new ones too.

Hi again Lynda! Looks like your doing well!! To answer your yarn details question, coming from UK, I am unlikely to purchase same yarns you do, so I'm only generally interested in weight of yarn i e. Sock, DK etc. Also the pattern, if you use one for the item your making. Otherwise any tips or tricks you found could be helpful too. Thanks for spending your time with us xx.

Hello there Jan! Yes, when I watch knitting podcasts, I generally don't have to know the exact brand of yarn. But, like you, I do want to know how the pattern was to work with etc.

Hari OM Sorry for the loss of Howie... Wizards are rare folk. Your hat is lovely... and once you've done a couple with the straight stockingette, you may find the confidence to add in some 'curly' stitches yourself, just to add interest; it can be as simple as every six rows (or stitches) being a reverse stitch... or a bobble stitches on the 'crowns' ... and having recently visited an historic mill, I dropped fifty quid on some of their wool product with scarcely a blink. I mean, how could I not?! YAM xx

Hello Yamini :) Thank you for your condolences. Howie and Ross' relationship was special. For all the years Ross was ill, Howie would call once a week. Ross so looked forward to hearing Howie's voice. I watched a podcast where someone made the Musselburgh hat and did exactly what you said. She tried different stitch patterns and it came out great. Hmm, an historic mill sounds so interesting. Have you ever gone to the yarn festival in Edinburgh? My sister is trying to entice me to go next year.
