Unfortunately our beloved Joey passed away at the ripe age of 9 last week. Thank you to everybody who has left positive comments about him over the years, he was such a loved bird and everybody’s best friend. Please refrain from making any negative comments about him as it's not necessary to keep comparing him to other beautiful budgies on KZbin. I uploaded this video to show overseas friends, and 6 years later he has over 800,000 views!! Thank you so much again, love from Joey’s family ❤️❤️❤️

I have had Budgies since I was a little girl I am 35 now and haven't had one for a long time, but my sweet babies may they RIP never were this smart and I am in tears saying that. rem mer yeah he does, I have a Buggie and he will mostly have my tone when talking but when he says my name he sound alike my mother since it was my mother that taught that to him and he coughs like my grandfather 😂 but you can watch other videos on buggies where they sound like their care giver. 🙈

I'm sorry to hear of his passing.😢 It's funny that I named my budgie Joey!! Mine isn't talking as well as yours is but I did manage to teach him to say his name, pretty bird. I try to work with him daily to teach new words but he's stuck on the ones I've taught him.😅

What a cute budgie! Thanks for posting. Ours is called "Miss Budgie." She's a pretty blue and white bird. She says her name and a few other short phrases. The females are not nearly as good at mimicking as the males are, though.

Yep they can but it takes a long time for them to learn and the males are the only ones that ever do talk , the females are able to talk too but never seem do it trying to teach the females is so much more difficult and most of the time there's no success.
