I I don’t know if you guys would consider it or if you did, but Joey’s giltia got a retrain in the form of a effect monster, whose card design and effect is a call back to battle city. It's called Giltia the D knight - Soul Spear.

@@Pershath08 How can it be that strong if it's banish effect only works on 1 normal summon? It's search effect is once per turn.

There are 2 battle city cards that Joey played that are still anime exclusive: 1. Attrition(he used this card when he was possessed by Marik) 2. Energy Drain(he used this card when he dueled Mako) Both cards were spells funny enough. Solid deck! 😀

Which another "fun fact", if Konami were to print Energy Drain, they would have to call it something else because they already printed a trap card with the same name a while ago. So it's be the same situation with doppelganger/mimicat.

One of my all-time favorite characters and decks :) I hope someday Konami prints Attrition and his few other anime exclusive cards (although Rocket Pilder basically does the same thing as Attrition) I use that artwork for Thousand Dragon in my Serenity-Joey hybrid deck :)

We have thought about it, but part of what we want to do is bring the anime to life using the official TCG cards. We have only made a few rare exceptions to this policy.

You can't really make one if he didn't duel.

He didn't even play flame swordsman in battle city. This card and salamangra were only seen in his hand and giltia the d. Knight Wasn't successfully summoned.

Flame Swordsman and Salamandra were both seen in his hand. Giltia was a failed summon but it confirms that he at least had it. I’m assuming they added it to his deck because they didn’t want to double up on cards.

@@SpectacularWebHeadexactly my thoughts. Makes way more sense to me since we know he has played them before and they are not just random hand fillers.

@@Pershath08 I personally would have doubled up on certain cards rather than put in cards we didn't even seen hit the field. I would have doubled on cards like scapegoat, polymerization and baby dragon since scapegoat was a card he used often and baby dragon cause he's used as material for the two fusions joey makes.

@@Mysterybabylon696See, I think its way more likely that he still had flame swordsman in there since he used it in every other season. There is no evidence he ever double up on any of those cards.
