I know others have said it but I will too. For the bga chips you should put down some flux and do a quick reflow. This will make sure any corrosion hiding under the chip is taken care of. Otherwise it could come back and you have a faulty device again. Your progress is noticeable in each video, nice work.

Love the videos. I was in the industry 35 years in Bradford..we fixed anything. Literally. Would love to see you out of your your comfort zone . Such as Dyson vacuums or other items. We only learn by mistakes. I had this myself .

I bought a faulty Acer C302c Chromebook for under £10 inc postage. Charger with it too! Was a milk spillage, so after I removed PCB gave a good clean it all worked perfect! Did notice battery was bulging so I removed it. But nice picture, touchscreen too. Best bargain of 2022

Nice to see you working on some items you had a fair chance of fixing and doing well. Too many lost causes on eBay that must be disheartening to even try. Good job 👍

Nice one Joey great fixes. Personally I would of replaced that cap on the first switch that was damaged. 3:26

Cor, you were really lucky with that second one! You caught it just in time - any further and that liquid damage would have caused corrosion and damaged some of the components. This is why it is essential to clean any items that have been in contact with liquid!

Joey, you have said a few times that the best way to clean the boards is with and ultrasonic cleaner. Is there any reason why you don't use one? And I assume you mean a tank?

Can you dunk the whole pcb into an ultrasonic cleaner? I’ve heard there’s some components that you shouldn’t put in an US cleaner like crystal oscillators
