As a RN, I heard you say you have had ankle pain for 4 weeks. That may need a bit of attention to ensure you haven’t injured it more than just muscle or soft tissue. I have heard Ortho Docs say sometimes it’s better to have a fracture than a sprain where you still may require intervention such a a boot to rest and heal the area. After 4 weeks, you may consider seeing an Orthopedic Dr. You have amazing work and workout ethic and you are young. You don’t want to develop issues with an ankle that can show up off and on as you age. Just a thought.

When I was a boy (5-years old), my TWA flight from STL to LAX was cancelled because of a blizzard, so TWA put me and my mother up in a hotel. We chanced upon our flight crew in the hallway of the hotel, pilots, flight attendants, and I invited them out to dinner. That was a very memorable meal.

Thank you for your layover here!!😅 You made me laugh about walking barefoot!😅 One of these days off go and buy some flip flops beach shoes. I had always packed a pair of those. Having them for any beach, pool area at the hotel or walking close by the hotel my flip flops were used. And you are right about restaurant referrals either from the first desk or concierge or even the van driver to find out about a close place to eat.

Furthermore, yes are roght about being alone on layovers. Some FAs will go out together and many will not. Some Captains and FOs will go out together and some wilĺ not. But being in this industry you are right we maybe alone out dinning or shopping and you need to feel comfortable doing that!😊 I noticed that for myself on many layovers in the industry. I think out of my favorite layovers a few cities such as San Diego and Los Angeles were really nice places to go shopping a little. T-shirts or coffee cups with the city logos on them were nice times that I enjoyed for me.😊
