I cannot believe you really left us, you finally left Forlandia and a huge sorrow in my heart, I've been your fan for +10 years now and will always be a great admirer of your work and contribution. You got me to sleep in my worst times and made me so happy for you when you got to get on the big screen and everybody to admire your talent and work. Now rest well yourself as you helped me my unknown but so beloved friend. Thank you for so much! My best wishes and all my love from Paraguay.

To me, this song represents life here on earth, and how leaving refers to dying. It expresses all the horror, death, destruction in our world through zero vocals or lyrics, yet through simply instrumentals. To me, it makes me feel that life on earth is just a short experience, that we learn and see things, and when we die we die, nothing else. I feel and hope that at the end of our lives we just fall into a dream, dreaming away of everything or anything we knew while alive. This song, magical.

Your music mimics a way that life on earth unwinds; in all of its elegant chaos. I am thankful for your existence Johann for your music has opened up doors in my mind. Some lead to peace and some lead to an anxiety or unrest that I need to face. I've shed tears, I've reveled on memories of pain, and turn them into something beautiful with the assistance of your sound. Thank you so much. You have truly stretched your existence and feelings beyond the physical realm and each time I listen to your music I can feel your presence, and although I never personally knew you, I can feel what I know is a piece of you reaching out. Thank you Johann and onwards to your next journey.

Your music really meant a lot to me especially in my dark moments and tough times and I really felt like your music sometimes radiated in me. Your music really did help me stay calm but also motivated me and made me think about a dark future where everything would just be sadness or depression or melancholy. Your music brought two things to me which were sadness and happiness I know it's not just that black and white and the way your music made feel could be like a spectrum of black and white or a gradient of black and white with grey clearly being in the middle. As an artist Johannsson I need you to know that you deserve to know a million things and more and in one of those things you deserve to know is that your music really meant a lot to me and really did make me feel something. Your music is probably one of the most appealing, satisfying, powerful, and impacting things to ever existed for your music could make me imagine things of all sorts but also bring me feelings that I never really thought about. Johannsson your job as a solo artist who made his own music is beautiful and your job on the big screen was also amazing. Your work in films really did effect me and really did have an impact on me. Johannsson those movies you worked on wouldn't be the same without you. As a composer for soundtracks and as a solo artist or a artist who did a lot of collaborations your work was fantastic and was more than just amazing. Your work could change peoples moods and emotions in a second your music could make people think about things they never thought about. Your music was truly beautiful and I really hope that your in Heaven living happily there. I really hope your in Heaven being happy.

so pure, rich, and delicate. i wish our generation would take time to listen to this and not that crappy shuffling music. i love how music like this doesnt have to have lyrics because everytime i come back to listen to it, i always get a different message from it, a different feeling. and its always something that changes me.

(Fordlandia): Fordlandia, a land of promises, hardwork and a new life for who seek it, everyone, trying to make the dreamed life, live in peace and armony. (Melodia I): A day like everyday, the citizens are going to our duty, our life here become in a good routine, with surprises, the tomorrow look very well but maybe it have a surprise. (The rocket builder): A surprise of the life collapse the routine, we are in our houses with the door and windows secured, watching and waiting (Melodia II): Now we can walk in the streets, the event left the city damaged and now we are repairing and hoping for a better tomorrow. (Fordlandia - Aerial view): A plane pass across the city, the pilot watch how is the city after the event and report about the damages to the government. (Melodia III): The city is repaired and in peace again, now we are affraid for the tomorrow, much thinks about left the city but the hope stills (Chimaerica): Anothet surprise and is a tragedy, the fear intensifies and now are people preaching in the streets, me and others will take action but now, no one know what will happen. (Melodia IV): The city is damaged and again, we are repairing but now everyone thinks about go to another place, the tomorrow scares and i don't blame them, i am scared too. (The great God Pan is dead): What we fear becomes truth, rebuild is not a option, live here is impossible, we can't stay here anymore, we have to do something for survive. (Melodia - Guidelines for a space propulsion device based on Heim's Quantum theory): Left the city is a fact, with the time against, we are working on a way to left the city and searching where can be a new life for us. (How we left Fordlandia): After the events, we are leaving, much of us are sad, our houses, our memories, our story are there but we will build a new life, and now, watching how to city disappears and using what remains of our resources, this is how we left Fordlandia. Johann have left us, have left Fordlandia.

New to me. I originally came across this man's music via Classic FM's chill programme (yes, programme) (sic) some time ago. The track they played was "The Sun Goes Dim . . ." At the time, I didn't know what it was. Heard it again recently and 'Googled' the lyric, which brought me here. I heartily agree with the sentiment that such stuff should be better known. Some will say it is drear, but hey 'one man's meat . . .'

Here where you can save all those who suffer, where you can fly to the stars with the ones you love. here where all things are possible. but we can't stay we have to leave and forget so that one day we can come back again. so this is how we left. we'll cya
