Johann Pachelbel - Canon in D | Organ Duet | Vilnius St. Casimir Church

Today I'd like to share with you our rendition for organ duet of the famous Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel. I played Violino I and II parts with both hands while Vidas - Violino III with his right hand one octave lower, Basso - with the pedals and with his left hand he supplied the harmony. We recorded it live during a joined recital at Vilnius St. Casimir church earlier this year. Hope you will enjoy it!

A beautiful rendition with all the parts there. So often I hear this played in cut down transcription that some of the beautiful detail is missing. Well done - and thank you!

Thank you, Philippe! We are playing from a quartet’s score. That way we don’t need a transcription. But it is still a bit challenging.
