The Orgelbüchlein 'shortie' is Early Bach at it's best - but his later 'doubling down' must have been on his mind for some time - with the Canto Fermo in the pedal giving a solid base for the lofty "up & down' scales, symbolising the Holy Spirit taking hold of the happy and surprised disciples in Jerusalem!
Recorded on the wonderful, thirteen-stop, Bernhardt Edskes organ in the Friedenskirche, Köln Urbach on May 30th - with a Leica M240P and a Summilux 'AA' - audio on a Zoom device - mixed on a Mac.
