Johann Sebastian Bach - Prelude in E major BWV 1006a - Mateusz Kowalski

IV Suita E-dur (BWV 1006a) stanowi wśród siedmiu dzieł lutniowych Bacha autorskie opracowanie - bynajmniej nie jedyne - kompozycji pierwotnie pomyślanej na instrument smyczkowy. Sięgając w latach 40. XVII wieku po swą najbardziej „nowoczesną” a zarazem pogodną III Partitę na skrzypce solo (BWV 1006), Bach wykonał pracę dużo bardziej substancjalną niźli tylko prosta transkrypcja. Obecnie uważa się zresztą, że to kompozycja na nieoznaczony instrument. Mógł być nim na przykład klawesyn lutniowy, który stawał się w owym czasie instrumentem modnym.
Bogate harmonicznie Preludium toczy się niepowstrzymanym, rwącym strumieniem szesnastek, z działającą pobudzająco na wyobraźnię wykonawcy i słuchacza dozą polifonii. Współcześnie Preludium to (tu w opracowaniu amerykańskiego gitarzysty i wykładowcy Franka Koonce’a) trwale wpisało się już do standardowego repertuaru gitarowego. Wykonawca może zaprezentować w nim umiejętność klarownego ukazania polifonicznej faktury, precyzję artykulacyjną i wysmakowaną ekspresję.

Amazing playing, but...too bad you decided to go the route of fancy video editing, e.g. weird camera angles, etc. This approach, in my opinion, cheapens the overall musical message you are presenting to your audience. Also it looks as if the music has been prerecorded to enable you to employ this "MTV" like approach. Why not fix a camera where one can see the entire image of the you playing. Then play the music live. That's all you need to do. It would add so much dignity and honesty to what you are doing.
