I’m new to Junk Journals and haven’t really thought about much more than the process of creating them. Now I’m excited about actually using the journal afterwards. As I watch your flip through, I have happy visions of my grandchildren flipping through a completed journal of mine to discover who their grandmother really is/was. It’s leaving them a piece of me. I like your style of journal as you use things that appeal to you and don’t necessarily cost anything. I often feel discouraged watching other people’s videos as they use a lot of purchased items. I love odd images from magazines or weird pictures on products and you make me think, she is really good at this and it is ok to use what I like! Thanks for all the awesome videos.

I love all your journals videos especially this one. I started with bullet journals and then stumbled into your junk journals and fell in love! I am currently making one from scratch for the first time. It is definitely a new journey for me. You inspired me to create a keepsake of my grandparents and my parents to pass down to my kids and grandchildren. I hope i do it justice like you do. Thank you for your wonderful detailed videos.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful journal. It's absolutely gorgeous. Your flip through doesn't seem too long because every page is so cute, your voice is very soothing, and you spend just the right amount of time on each page. Wow! You've given me so many ideas and lots of inspiration. I love all the envelopes, tabs, pockets, and different sizes of pages. I love your choices of pretty paper, cards, labels. I really like the perfume box. I also have several perfume boxes I've saved because they are pretty but didn't know what I was going to do with them. I also like the drawing of your hands. I think I'm going to trace my mom's hands and draw her rings. She has dainty hands, beautiful nails, and lots of rings. So that idea came from you and I thank you for that. There were many other ideas from this video but those two stuck with me the most. Anyhow I will watch more of your videos and thank you.

Thank you for sharing your personal journal Johanna. I scrapbook, make cards, and dabble in journaling. The whole time I was watching this I thought about all the little things I loved and didn’t want to throw away, but didn’t know what to do with them! So many bits and pieces that have such sentimental feelings. Of all the posts on junk journals I’ve been looking for suggestions and inspiration….it was yours that did it for me! Oh wow when I was little I used to put my two middle fingers in my mouth just like that. My mom always mentions it with so much warmth. I think she has never heard of anyone else that’s does that, it is rather rare. The thumb is usually the finger of choice. 😄 This journal and the light blue one with the linen at the front are my two favorite of your personal journals.

I’m really wanting to get into more creative journaling... I’ve never had a junk journal... I really love the ones that are made with pretty scrapbook paper, etc... I’m really looking forward to decorating as much as regular journaling... oh and I love writing with white golly roll pens on black paper.. I was surprised that you journal randomly and out of order... and include things from this year and many other years... I think that’s a fun way of doing it... that way you can talk about anything you want and pick the page you want to decorate..hmm.. so interesting...I’d love to figure out a way to have more room in a journal so that you can add chunky items... I love all of the tabs and trims too...

Welcome back, glad you and your family are feeling better, and congrats on your new baby! Your kids are so lucky you do all of this journalling; I think they are going to spend different parts of their lives in the future going back and looking at all these over and over. My sister and brother would definitely do that with me lol. We break out the old family albums now and then, so I imagine having all of these other personal touches that the pictures are with add more to the reminiscing, and all the notes you keep about observations on those days will be nice to read as well. I wish I found you sooner, as I only found you a couple months ago, but you have inspired me to take the memorabilia and photos I've saved and really make something special with them. You have an excellent way of explaining things, and you have a very nice voice to listen to as well. I actually find your voice quite soothing. I think your process is pretty cool as well, and you have helped me think of ways to actually use the things I have saved over the years, instead of them always being tucked away. Thank you for sharing!

This is my first visit Johanna and my brain is buzzing with creative excitement. I would love to ask if you completely finish each page before you bind it? I've just started art Journaling and Junk Journaling in pre-made travelers notebooks and tipping in bits and pieces. I make these...Have been since I was a teenager...I had noooo idea other people make them as well & that they have a name...Wow I’m not alone...& I guess not as unique lol...Sooo weird to find out others also do this as well...I literally thought that i was the only one...Not one person I’ve shown them too mentioned that creating these books or “junk journals”, (I think was what u called them) was actually something other people do too....They always act amazed when I show them & ask how I thought of doing it, ohhh & how long it took to make...(of course), lol...Was just starting another one & stumbled upon this video...I wonder how common the other books & scrapbooks I make are, lol.. Guess I’m not as special as my mom told me I was..lol... jks.... I wonder why none of my friends and family have mentioned seeing these before. We’re all oblivious lol...Looks like my whole social circle has been living under one giant rock...Hahaha...Nice, really nice...I like yours😀😀😀...
